Stay Somewhere Else

Posted 03-Sep-2014
Pros: Nothing
This is not a Hotel it is a Bed and Breakfast, but without the breakfast. The building is literally two residence-over-shops slammed together and sectioned off into a few rooms. I counted no less than 5 entrances, two of which were hastily boarded off, which anyone could use to enter or leave. Like the drifters squatting in the abandoned building to the back. It is run-down to say the least. I drove 2 hours to get there envisioning the quaint hotel pictured here, but it's not and when I asked for a refund, because I sure wasn't going to stay there, I was told my credit card was already billed and there are no refunds. The person at the hotel I talked to was rude and was not willing to work with me at all. Unless you are an armed single adult male: stay somewhere else.

Pricey with cramped quarters.

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Pros: Not much at all.
Cons: Make the necessary repairs to the facility - do some remodeling and upgrading. Get rid of the Pet Friendly environment.
Location: Centrally located in the town of Frisco, CO. Beautiful mountain town, with lots of outdoor activities, friendly people and nice shops.
This was the first time staying at this hotel in Frisco. We stayed overnight, because of a float fishing trip early in the morning the following day. We didn't expect the Ritz Carlton, but we did expect comfortable. We rented two rooms, and both were small and cramped. Each room had a queen size bed. One room barely had 8" - 12" of space on either side of the bed, before you made contact with the wall. Carpet was torn, with very noticeable wear and tear on the doors and wood trim - due to the "pet friendly" environment. The door handle and lock on our particular room was in some disrepair. It was OK for the one night, but I wouldn't stay there any longer than that. We were very disappointed, especially because we like this area so much.

Hotel Frisco

Posted 10-Aug-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything but the location and the desk clerk.
Location: Butterhorn Bakery (not to be missed), bicycle rentals, the local Italian restaurant a few doors down, and the home made ice cream in the Sweet Shop.
Great location. However, the hotel is showing its age. The windows do not have screens and the rooms are not air conditioned. Sleeping with the windows open at street level leaves the occupants exposed to a room invasion. The hotel needs a major renovation. In addition, the hotel is noisy. Consequently, it can only be described as overpriced.

Small, expensive hotel on Main Street

Pros: Location?.?
The manager was not very friendly, room was small, almost no storage. Noisy from drunks in the alley at 2 in the morning.

good location, homely, big rooms

we were very happy with this hotel, the location was great, easy parking, lots of space apart from the small bathroom. décor is not especially smart but I think it is aimed at skiers/backpackers/families wanting a good deal. no food but a great café almost next door. the chap on the front desk was having a bad day I think but overall would be happy to recommend it.

Nice place to stay.

Posted 03-Jul-2014
Pros: Great location, VERY comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom and ample closet/drawer space in the room. Shops and food in walking distance.
Cons: They need to put screens on their windows, and their cleaning staff needs to either be increased or start earlier to be sure to tend all rooms.
Location: EVERYTHING is close. Great food, shopping, activities. If you stay here, have breakfast at the Butterhorn Bakery which is 1 block away. Wonderful!
We were at Hotel Frisco for 4 nights to attend a family wedding in Breckenridge. The hotel itself is old but the room was charming with a window seat. The "bar" doubles as the front desk and we did not utilize it during our stay. It's a pleasant place with a very comfortable bed. There is no AC in this hotel, which was fine since Colorado is not hot, but the windows could use screens. We left the windows open at all times, as we were on the third floor and the room was very warm when we first checked in. Again, they need to invest in some window screens. The only other downside is that the cleaning staff moves extremely slowly, and two days of our stay our room was not touched. We were out of the room all day long on two of the days, and returned at about 4:00 PM to find the room had not yet been touched. The hotel was NOT full at this time. They either need to hire more people or tell their staff to step it up. We asked for clean towels and received them, but still feel the room should have been tended to each day in a more timely fashion. Also no guest laundry but there is a laundromat one block away that is open from 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and we would return again and recommend it to others. Frisco is a great town with lots to do and see.

It's all about location

The location is great for exploring Frisco's town. Rooms are tiny, dated, and a bit worn. The front desk help was less than helpful, but not awful. The beds should be dragged out into the street and burned. Again, it's all about the location. It's very conveniently located for short walks to just about anything the town has to offer.
