Lovely room, comfy bed, great granola
A lovely room, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Problem with the shower but friendly staff sorted it out quickly. Very comfortable bed. Great location in the middle of Woodbridge. Fantastic breakfast both mornings - the homemade granola particularly good.

This is an old building full of character. We stayed in the 4 Poster room which is very spacious and decorated to a very nice standard. The bed was very comfy. The staff were very friendly and everything was very well organised for these challenging times. We also had a lovely meal in the restaurant.

Lovely old Grade II listed building; interesting interiors (exposed beams etc). Inglenook-style fireplace in the bar with an open wood-burning fireplace. Tastefully decorated and comfortable. Walking distance to the town centre and the river. Choice of bar, snug (also with fireplace), restaurant. All very comfortable.

A lovely hotel in the centre of Woodbridge
The hotel was warm and the staff very friendly and efficient. We were given one of the newly refurbished rooms which had been renovated to a high standard and was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very good with all needs catered for. We would definitely stay here again.

This is an old historic building and has the character of such; sloping floors, odd height doors etc but this adds to the property rather than detracts. It had a feel of being in the middle of a bit of refurbishment. Property benefits from being in the old historic centre. But I have recently stayed in other local properties and for value there is better nearby imo

Excellent Inn in Woodbridge

Perfect in every way!
Great night at the Bull Inn. Nice comfortable bed, big room,quiet, clean & lovely shower. The owners and staff were really nice and polite & helpful. Lovely freshly cooked full English breakfast. Lovely outlook & perfect area! Easy parking behind the Bull. In fact there was nothing I didn't like! I can't wait to go back, longer next time!

we are put in to a triple room when we had booked for 4 guests .shower was cold every time we tried to use it.my sister in law had to be moved when she had water leaking from the ceiling

As explained on arrival, the booking made was for a triple room (we do not have a quadruple room) and, in order to accommodate the booking we put an additional single bed into the room. The amount paid for this booking covered 2 adults only and, as a gesture of goodwill, no additional charge was made for the 2 teenage children. Our staff always do their utmost to deal with any guest complaints swiftly but as the shower was only mentioned on departure on day 3 we were unable to rectify this situation. Problems such as leaks, unfortunately, happen from time to time but, as you stated, we did address the situation immediately when it was reported to us by moving the guest to another room..

Convenient for town, problem with parking. Because of it being such an old building stairs were difficult. The radiator in the bathroom leaked and couldn’t be put on so no heat in the bathroom. But staff were very friendly and helpful.

Interesting building, good service.
Staff were very friendly and efficient on arrival. Room was clean and comfortable. The building is beautiful and full of little nooks and crannies. Breakfast was at a convenient time, of a good and consistent quality with a varied menu inc. cereals, yogurts and fruits. Nice little bar with a decent selection of ales.

Centrally located in Woodbridge market square. A typical old inn , which has been renovated but would benefit from more renovation. The breakfast was ok but very much do it yourself and lacks forethought e.g. Tables were set as twos but we were a three so we had to move the tables together ourselves. No big deal but not very welcoming or thoughtful.

Unfortunately, due to the age and construction of the building, which is 400 years old and has many thick beams, wifi is a problem in some bedrooms but is good in the public areas on the ground floor. Could be a lovely pub with rooms, but so tired and a little grubby around the edges. No one wants to stick to the floors!

Wouldn’t rush back
Upon check in the guy made a joke about my surname which is know was harmless but quite rude and not funny. Not a great first impression. He didn’t know where the rooms were so went up and down flights of stairs trying to find it. Room was very basic - 3 beds all equally as uncomfortable as each other as the mattresses were paper thin. The room smelt stuffy and smoky and the window only opened about an inch. No hairdryer in the room when it was specified. When going down for breakfast, I wasn’t greeted,so just seated myself. No one came to take my order for ages, and it took me and another lady to prompt someone to come and serve us. When I did get served, no hello or good morning. Literally “what do you want”. After breakfast I went up to my room to use the bathroom, but the cleaners were already in there and had stripped the room and we’re cleaning, however, I hadn’t even checked out and it was only around 9.30am! Really don’t think you should start to strip a room until you’ve at least checked out!! Had to search to get someone to check me out. Staff walked past but basically blanked me and was told “someone will come soon”. Nothing majorly wrong as a whole I guess, but as a solo traveller (travel for business alone) I wasn’t made to feel welcome and staff were perhaps too busy doing other things. Room was bog standard and no frills at all. Bathroom was actually very new and clean. The only positive was that my work pay for my hotel stays...I wouldn’t book this.

Woodbridge overnight.
Hotel staff friendly and welcoming. The Bull is situated right in the middle of the old town so convenient for pubs, restaurants and shopping. Good and easy parking. Good breakfast. Room excellent- clean and comfortable. Can't fault it and WILL RETURN!

Staff were very helpful and friendly, room was pretty good, small but modern bathroom - ( just missing a toilet brush). Food was great- we had a tapas and were very impressed considering it was just a casual style inn.

Comfort, Service and Character
A wonderful Suffolk Inn, with comfortable rooms with character, excellent full English breakfast and wonderful service. When we couldn’t get a a taxi to take us to an appointment, the owner drove us there himself and wouldn’t accept payment.

My fault , booked room for wrong day ie sat in stead of Sunday...but ! Call up to change date only 30 mins out of cancellation time !!! and staff were far from helpfull, would not change but were more then happy to give me a room and charge me for both mites instead !! Customer service obviously not high on agenda at this hotel . Please do not go with my rating on room comfort, cleanliness, condition as I did not stay . But still got charged full price !!!

Solid, Unpretentious Hotel in a Classy Town.
I have stayed at The Bull several times because I wanted to walk to venues in Woodbridge, rather than drive in from outside. So, I find it central, useful and economical. It does not pretend to be luxurious. Cleanliness is adequate, rather than clinical, and it is in a slightly worn, traditional building with a pub atmosphere downstairs, which I find homely and attractive. There are no frills like a safe, fridge or bottled water in your room. On my last visit, for some strange reason, my TV would not list any BBC channels, which was frustrating to a BBC news addict. But, overall, the Bull provides an adequately clean accommodation, a good breakfast and friendly staff. There is a small courtyard-sized hotel car park behind, which soon fills up. I have always managed to find a public parking slot near in front of the hotel which is unrestricted evenings and overnight until 9.00 a.m.

Old charm
This being our first visit to Woodbridge we had no idea what to expect and we were very pleasantly surprised. A charming town with plenty of historical interest. The Bull Inn hotel provided our accommodation and watering hole. We chose room 14 which was a climb but afforded the best views and was also quiet. With a large four poster bed and ensuite facilities it suited our needs. Although looking a little tired in places and not having shower mixer taps but a shower screen!! we managed to shower via the old method.! (Those of a certain age will understand). As with so many places it seems wifi was hit and miss. I got on line but my partner did not. We arrived in time for Sunday lunch and we were so glad we did. What a treat. One of the tastiest Sunday roasts we can remember, with 'proper gravy' and a good platefull of hot food. Likewise our breakfast. In fact all our food was beautifully cooked and presented. Parking is first come first serve and for this reason we arrived early to bag a spot. All in all a pleasant stay.

Great for a short break. Family run with very helpful and friendly staff. Central location in historic market place, 5 mins walk from the River Deben waterfront and many attractions. Private parking at hotel - but don't get lost in the one way system! Attractive room on the second floor with comfy 4-poster bed and spacious bathroom - bath with instant hot water. Good selection of dishes on dinner menu with a special residents' rate of £10 for two courses. Highly recommended.
