We had the most amazing weekend the staff were so nice and helpful,nothing was too much for them always had a smile on their faces..The entertainment was fabulous the chalets were lovely and warm very clean we will definitely be booking again and highly recommending Pakefield Holiday Village to our friends and family

NEEDS UPDATING IT WAS LIKE GOING BACK TO 50's OLD AND DIRTY APPARENTLY THE HOUSEKEEPER ONLY HAS 25 MINUTES TO CLEAN AND MAKE UP BEDS, BEING A HOUSEKEEPER MYSELF THIS DOES NOT GIVE THEM TIME TO DO THE EXTRAS LIKE SKIRTING BOARDS ETC. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND THE FOOD WAS COOKED BRILLIANTLY AND SO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM, WE HAD A LOVELY WEEKEND AND WOULD GO BACK AGAIN.

ROOM :- floor dirty, bath only for 3 year olds to use as can’t fit an adult in it, shower cold or to hot, no in between, bed mattress was made of plastic and so uncomfortable we left after 2 days, couldn’t stay there a single day longer. ENTERTAINMENT:- not to bad as it gos, bingo and live entertainment was good so can’t complain there. STAFF:- nice people and always there to help. FOOD:- breakfast was terrible, bacon looked like it was from the day before, didn’t taist good, Dinner was different everyday and to be fair wasn’t that bad, fish and chips and pork belly was decent. POOL:- bloody freezing. WI-FI:- only in club house NO PHONE SIGNAL AT ALL IN ROOMS, normally this isn’t a problem but we needed to keep in contact with the kids so had to keep going to the cliff edge just to get signal. OVERALL:- if your an oap and don’t mind plastic beds and bad food then this is the place for you

Pontins gets bad press but it is a nice place to go for a break. I stay there with my parents and we like the food and the entertainment. We played pool and my chalet was lovely.

A great stay - better than budget hotel!
Really enjoyed my stay, took me back to nostalgic days....menu was great and more than adequate, friendly staff and clean chalet - with fridge too! Great to hear the hubbub and laughter in the dining area! Floor shows are top notch, too - excellent performers. Thoroughly enjoyed it, will be back!

This booking stated adults only but it was full off kids would not have booked if I had known. Been many times and there has never been any kids. It put me off going to the club house food has gone down hill rooms a bit tired.

Awful experience
The resort was advertised as “Adult Only” but when arrived was greeted by unruly children screaming and shouting. The chalet was in a disgusting condition with mould everywhere in the bathroom, the bed linen just thrown on the bed, no hand towels, sink filthy and stale water left in the kettle. The chalet had obviously not been cleaned after the previous occupant. The evening buffet dinner was passable but not very hot. The check in process was an absolute joke. We were so upset with this holiday village that we left soon after our passable dinner on the first night of our two night stay. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I didn’t even go and I’m not happy that your services and that of pakefeild have been totally unprofessional I had good reasons to cancel an rebook and you couldn’t sort it out and I have tried an tried to contact pakefeild numerous times ringing and emails with no response I feel totally let down and yet you are sending me emails asking me how my stay was??? Clearly you can see I didn’t check in as my daughter has been in hospital since Tuesday having a baby! I will never use your services or pakefeild ever again I have had the worse experience ever with you and them! Thanks for nothing and I will be taking this further I feel I have been scammed by you and pakefeild! Regards Gareth innes

The food ok the staff would bend over backwards to help you with a big smile thay were lovely from gardeners to front desk ,we had a small problem with our room we could not get wi fi or the tv working so thay move into another room with no trouble going back next year

The chalet was old but the bed linen was spotless. The facilities were good a sink and kettle and microwave and toaster. The bathroom was very tired in appearance but the shower was excellent. The food (buffet style) was very good with lots of choice. The bar staff were very friendly. We were visiting family and this was close by and so convenient for us. Value for money!!!!

The worst stay I’ve ever had - read to the end!
The reception staff were less than interested in providing me with any information including the room number, where it was or any timings for food service, etc. The room was very cold so I turned on the heating in both the bathroom and the main area and it remained on full for the entire night as it did not heat the room up. In the morning there was still condensation on the walls! A noticeable breeze in the room all night as there was a big gap in the front door that allowed winds through. I decided to go for a bath and I dropped a towel on the floor which landed on the skirting board and when I picked it up, there was a dark line on the white towel. I looked around the bathroom and all of the skirting/coving was topped with thick dust and what appears to be pubic hairs! I ran the bath and there was floating scum on the water and all around the taps and top of the bath was dirt and grime. The shower curtain was covered in mould. At the 'restaurant', we waited till past the stated opening time whilst the 2 security guards finished their MacDonalds they had collected prior to opening. Only 1 person ‘serving’ food/slop and she realllly didn’t want to be there! I then made the bed so that I could go to sleep and try to forget about the experience so far! When I got into bed I felt something scratch my arm and on inspection found what can only be described as faeces/poo stuck to the duvet!

The holiday chalets are looking a bit tired. They could do with giving a face lift. Whilst the room was clean and tidy the carpet was very grubby and had lots of stains on it. Every thing else in the room was okay. Food and entertainment was good

Overall it was very good. Food was good. Entrainment also good. & drink prices reasonable...The room was basic & the bed was very uncomfortable... But for the price car't really complain.... Been there a few times now... So good for the money you pay.

From the beggining i booked in a 5 day stay and when i arrived around 8pm there was no staff and left a phone number for me to check in and i rang them up 3 times but no one answered. (I checked and i can book in before 10pm) And the other people staying there and helped me find a staff but we couldent find any staff .after 15minutes later i go back to the reseption and i gave it another try and i finally got someone to answer and then said inside was very noisiy and didnt apologize and im feeling upset. And i was scared because no one was there to check in for me and i thought i had to stay outside.

I paid £39 for one night with breakfast and dinner, excellent value for money but be prepared for some very outdated facilities. The bathroom was not very clean and couple of the windows were not so sturdy. But for the price I would stay again.

Nice accommodation and food but tired buildings
I arrived and reception was closed there was a telephone number to call they came quickly and gave me my pack staff were not very helpful with directions but when arrived at the chalet the light was not working I called and within 5 minutes it was fixed great service by a security guard and the food was pretty good too I do not really go to any of the facilities but the place is a bit tired apart from the inside of the chalet it was in pretty decent shape

The check in process was simple, the car park was only a short walk away from the chalet which was basic but clean. It had a TV, fridge, microwave kettle and toaster with a sink with hotband cold water and cupboard with cups plates and cuttlery. A small table and chairs was also in the room. The bathroom consisted of a small bath and shower and again was clean. The facilities are good, crazy golf, safari park (not real animals) tennis courts and a lovely pool (indoor) with slide and sauna. There is plenty entertainment which goes on all throughout the day and is varied. Breakfast and evening meal is served 'canteen style' breakfast had a good choice of cereals, fruits, porridge and full breakfast ( bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, hash browns, tomatoes and beans and bread/ toast and jams on self service stations. The drinks were orange juice, lime pop, water, milk and hot drinks. Evening meal consisted on various choices of meat/fish with potatoes and veg options. The salad station and jacket potatoes with various choice of fillings were available each meal time. I could not fault the food at all, plebty choice, all well cooked amd hot and fresh. Location is great, just a few mins walk down the path leads to a private beach which is clean and stretches on for miles. The water was pretty clear. There is a large shopping retail park within 1 mile and also a morrisons. We had no issues during our stay some of the reviews seem quite unfair. Its basic but clean

We hated being there. The bed sheets was stained. The bar was selling a pint in 2/3pt plastic glasses. The Golden Virginia tobacco bought from the shop wasn't from the UK. We feel like going to trading standards. Would I recommend, definitely not.

We were worried after reading all the bad reviews but all was fine! The chalet was spotless, away from entertainment and children’s play areas ( which suited us) 2 mins walk from coastal path and 5 mins walk to fabulous beach. We did not use the included breakfast and dinners due to the ongoing pandemic but shopped for breakfast items at the nearby Morrison’s supermarket and went to various nearby restaurants for dinner each evening.

When arriving was expecting a clean room with bed made up and presented well.... As what was in the photo that showed the room i booked.... Upon arrived no bed made up and room was filthy Socks behind bathroom door and cobwebs everywhere Would have thought with the covid it would have been spotless Parts of ceiling was peeling away

What a disgrace
Sold as hotel room but was a chalet/self catering room. Long queues for food and not buffet style like advertised. The pictures are lovely in adverts but when you arrive you realise it's outdated and run down. Only good thing about it is the staff are pleasant. Would not book it again would give a wide berth.

This is not a hotel, but a very run down chalet on a dated, run down holiday park.There was lots of fresh air as the 2 windows did not close. The bed was made up but so uncomfortable we used the quilt to lay on. All the facilities you would expect from a hotel were not available, e.g. tea, coffee, toilet roll, soap, although there were towels. We did have a fridge, very battered and seen better days. There was also a dark kitchen area, with a kettle and microwave, 2 not matching cups, plates and crockery. Considering the door had a seal on it to say it had been cleaned, the spiders living inside had made impressive webs and the sticking plaster on the window frame didn't make it better. The smell from the dirty heater confirmed the room had not been used in a while. The bath had tape on it, although the water was very hot. I don't want to mention the food but school dinners spring to mind.
We did have sea view.
The plaster didn't help it close.

No cold water, electric kettle didn’t work, shower holder not attached to the wall, windows filthy, dust under the bed, exterior canopy very dirty. Given last sitting for breakfast and full menu not available. breakfast poor quality food. Ate only once on first night evening meal and before we finished first course desserts had been removed as had the hot beverages. Restaurant carpet worn out, trip hazard and dirty. We reported s couple of issues but totally ignored. Thank goodness we were only booked for 4 nights.
