Quiet location

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: It's location, cleanliness & helpful hosts.
Cons: Nothing
Location: B&B in a lovely quiet village about 8/10 miles from Bury St. Edmonds. We did a couple of short circular walks, written directions borrowed from b&b.
We chose this B&B for its quiet location. The barn is 19th century with lovely high beamed ceiling in the entrance hall our room was excellent with king size bed, beautiful bed linen & modern en suite. Our hosts very welcoming & had good general knowledge of the local area. Breakfast was cooked beautifully the choice was very good, they have their own chickens & the eggs were excellent too. We will certainly book here again & will recommend it to friends.

Nice accommodation in the quiet of the countryside but only 10 minutes away from Bury St Edmonds. Cosy barn accommodation with delicious breakfast.

Nice place, a little remote but worth a look

Great little hotel, nice rooms and friendly owners. Only little draw back is no food or drinks available on site meaning you have to drive but only a few minutes. All in all a very nice place.

very rural retreat

Posted 21-Feb-2015
Pros: cf above
Cons: Hard put to think !
Location: Very rural.... Bury St Edmunds 4 miles away is v interesting historically. With a car, which is essential, lots of Suffolk can also be explored..
From the outset we had no problems... Ray and Rachel have created a very comfortable B and B/Hotel....(it can be difficult to differentiate the difference !) They were very helpful, as was Tracy who was a member of staff, at answering queries about places in the vicinity---we hope to return again. (Thos.)Michael Gilmore

Wonderful change from the formula driven chain hotel industry. .Highly personalised welcome with just enough contact. Very spacious and comfortable room and the breakfast experience was first class and set the day up perfectly. ...Although only 3 rooms; it proved conclusively that " less is more"...thank you.
