Disappointing

Booked for two nights via the Internet, after arrival, was told my booking was only for one night, and the hotel was fully booked to book me in for the second day. Hotel staff didn't seem to want to help and advised me to contact Expedia. Very disappointing.

Great price for a Holiday Inn

Pros: Quiet.
Cons: Don't charge for wi-fi.
Stayed three nights due to business commitments. Room was clean and comfortable. bathroom could have done with a refurbishmentbut was servicable. Lounge and bar a bit soul less. Vey busy health club and pool although I didn't use it.

Service was exemplary and 10/10, but sadly the age of the building was evident and tired! In desperate need of fresh paint and new ( or cleaned) carpets. I'd expected a little more cared for facility for the price! The staff were super helpfull and deserve full compliments of this traveler!

Everything was fine apart from having the longest ever walk to the room so for anyone with mobility issues this could be a problem if you haven't requested a room near to the main part of the hotel. The bathroom needs updating as the grout in the tiles has discoloured to a horrible blackish brown. OK for the money and for just one night.

Overnight stay on a Sunday, good hotel quiet location but out of town which wasn't a problem for us as convenient to location we needed. Helpful staff.

Had a two night break with my partner and 11 week old baby, was very pleased with the family room and cot with bedding provided for us. Room was spotless and very comfortable. We had breakfast both mornings and was pleased with amount of choice and relaxed eating. Would stay again!!

We stayed for one night, and was impressed with the quality for the overall cost. The room was comfortable, the pool was not too busy in the morning, and breakfast was good. I did have difficulty getting the bath hot enough and so opted for a shower, which was pretty good anyway!

No double bed

Fantastic staff from front desk to cleaners, but for a romantic get away what a let down! Arrived to find twin beds and a cot in allocated room. Asked for a room swap as clearly a mistake, lovely lady on reception said "computer says 'No'"! Gave us a free drink which of course made all the difference.. Not! Spa is great, breakfast was good but no mushrooms or black pudding after 9.00am as they had " run out". Advice - get up early for a "Full English". Parking plentiful if you get there early. Sorry, just disappointed for money spent, for romantic weekend, in a spa hotel, with full English breakfast, could have been much better!
