The person who gave it 4 stars did not stay in my room. The carpet was filthy, covered in stains and obvious dirt from time, not recently cleaned. There was a hardened biscuit stuck to one of the coffee cups. It came off when I scratched it. I have a picture. I left feedback and have not heard from them at all so posting this. A refund would be good as I was very disappointed for a 4 star rated hotel.

An excellent short stay Hotel
i am asked to give opinion of the Hintlesham Hall Hotel based upon a one night stay with my wife. We were there for lunch on the 1st January but were unable to check in until after 3pm which is rather late especially when check out is no later than 11am. The lunch food and service was very good. Upon arrival to our Superior Room, which was nice and cosy, the heating was off and a small electric heater was in the room to compensate. Heating is timed with little consideration to the weather. There was a separate WC in the same hallway to the bathroom. The WC had no wash hand basin and to wash after going to the toilet and one has to go to the bathroom. I recommend upon the basis of hygiene that a hand basin be fitted in the separate WC. Certainly we would return to the Hotel for short breaks and will be lunching there on the 14th January with friends to celebrate my birthday so given the minimal criticism I would recommend the Hotel for it's welcoming charm, good food and excellent service. If we stay there again, which is very likely, I would favour an alternative room to Rialto and one similar to the room shown in the advertisement of Superior Rooms and facing to the front of the Hotel.

Staying here is a little taster of opulence, and to wander around the rooms is like a small tour of a stately home. The only complaint we had was that it was overheated!

Wonderful gem, perfect for a relaxing weekend
I could not recommend Hintlesham enough, from the staff, to the appointment of the rooms, to the location and a magnificent menu for dinner, not to forget the Spa. I had a wonderful stay.

Lovely hotel with fantastic facilities and excellent staff. Dinner was delicious. However, it was very noisy all night with chairs being moved (possibly by the cleaning staff) so sadly I could not recommend this hotel (the noise was definitely not other guests and went from around 10pm until 5am on and off).

Weekend break with our dog.
We had a lovely.room in the stable.block as we had a dog. Ground floor eith outside space. Breakfast had a good choice and freshly made hot food as well as a small buffet. Lovely grounds. Staff very accommodating as far as our dog was concerned. Ate breakfast in the lounge at a special table with the dog as main restaurant obviously does not allow them. My only little comment would be that I feel a small bowl of crisps or nuts when you have a drink in the bar or on the terrace would be a nice touch. This is a 4 star hotel and I would expect this.

The property is wonderful with great grounds and beautiful setting. However the hotel seems to be run on a skeleton staff which needs to be addressed. The staff do their best but with weddings, guests and dining room commitments the staff cannot cope. Overall a good stay

Super nice!
Had a lovely time with the wife, every member of staff were so nice. Hotel was clean and well presented, dinner was fantastic. Overall had a nice quiet night away and not too far from home aswell! The room was good, my only fault I could find was that the bed was too hard for my liking so I didn’t have the best sleep. In light of that though I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

We have stayed here many times and we have never been disappointed. The outside area has been improved since our last stay with the deer walk and other areas being utilised more. We went for a daytime stroll and a late night stroll to see all the pretty lights. As always the staff were amazing and they couod not be more accomodating. We oted for food in the lounge bar this year and we were not disapponted. Excellent food and greeat portion sizes. I ioted for the larger salad and it was very filling. I would say the only improvements that could be made is to provide or offer milk alternatives and biscuit alternatives in the rooms for those with allergies. Other than that small improvement, everything was perfect as always.
