“They'll charge you coming and going...”
The room was nice and clean and for a good price. We were even allowed to check in early, and the restaurant in the hotel was quite good, if slightly expensive. Make sure to ask before using anything, though, as they will charge you for everything. I made a local call and was surprised to find that they charge *a lot* for local calls and the phone system blocked my phone card, so you'll have to find a pay phone to avoid the charges. They also charge 8 Euro for internet, but at least you know before you log on. Their book promises complimentary breakfast of coffee or tea and fresh fruit or pastries, but only the drinks are actually provided without charge, though a pricey breakfast buffet is available at the restaurant. I'd recommend their dinner, but avoid their breakfast. I'm sure it tastes good, but not worth the cost..
“very nice place”
The neighborhood is nice and very helpful, at least they make the effort to help you, and for me this is a big help.
“Extremely clean and friendly - easy parking”
any time again!
“Some Tips”
The hotel is a good value for the price, but make sure to print out directions for finding it - it's in a fairly quiet neighborhood but it's somewhat confusing to find it. Watch for the street markers helping point the way. There is an enclosed parking area which only costs 5 euros a night - or you can park on the street for free. The peace of mind was worth the extra cost for me. Breakfast is a nice buffet, but is expensive. A good alternative is to leave the hotel and turn left. Walk a couple of minutes to the T-intersection and turn left. Across the street is a large, modern supermarket which contains a great cafe serving good food and coffee for considerably less than the hotel - but check out the buffet and make your own choice. A little farther up this same street, on the left as you continue walking, is a very nice Chinese restaurant with a great buffet and you can build a plate of what you want cooked, as well as the sauce you want, and they will cook it for you - excellent food and locally bewed beer. I would definitely stay there again.
“Very handy for Porsche Museum!”
Close to Lidl and Porsche museum, an odd combination, but convenient..best to leave the car in the underground car park rather than the 4 Euros at the museum if you want to save a little bit...
“Nice airport hotel...”
It's a little out of the way, but fairly accessible with a car. You can park on the street, but they have covered parking for 5 euros a night. The breakfast is extra and fairly expensive, but you can walk a block or so to a nice bakery for some coffee and a roll or a large pretzel. I'll stay there again when flying from Stuttgart.
“Mediocre”
Stayed in this hotel as I was in Stuttgart for the Stuttgart - Rangers football match. Close to city centre and only a 10 min (max) walk from S-Bahn station (only 3 stops to city centre). Hotel is not well sign posted from S-Bahn station. Very, very basic. Arrived back at hotel around 11.30pm and bar was closed. Disappointing. Expect more for the money!
“parking”
parking at the hotel is very expensive at 4.90 euros a day. so just park on the road very safe and no problems
“Good value basic hotel near Porsche museum”
The hotel is a ten minutes walk from the Porsche museum, which was our reason for visiting. It is also handy for the S Bahn into town if you don't have a car. The hotel itself is good, clean and basic. It is located in a quiet residential area beside the Porsche factory. The decor is pleasant, if perhaps a little dated. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. Secure parking is available for E4.50. Free coffe available in reception (didn't try breakfast). Staff were pleasant, although they caused some problems by confusing my first and last names making check in a bit fraught - but we got there in the end. Didn't eat at restaurant but from what I saw it looks good value and you can eat on the terrace. There's no air con so rooms a bit stuffy in summer. Overall, good value and handy for Porsche enthusiasts.
“Nice place close to the Porsche Museum”
Probably would not stay here if not visiting the Porsche Museum since there is nothing else around. Rooms were clean and comfortable. but no A/C. Food was good but expensive, but there isn't any other place to eat in the area.
