A good place to stay!

Generally a lovely hotel with a good team of staff, especially the lady at the bar. Me and my partner stayed for 3 nights and often had food at the bar which was also lovely and reasonably priced. The room was cleaned on 2 of the nights but was left on one which was disappointing.

Modern rooms, great breakfast and very welcoming

Posted 19-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
I stayed at the Walton Gateway for one night with my brother while visiting family nearby. Our room was clean and recently decorated, with a modern bathroom (small and with only a shower, which wasn't an issue for us). We noticed no noise from the pub downstairs when our room, and popped down for a pint before bed - atmosphere was very friendly. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Cooked to order but well worth the wait. All staff at the bar and at breakfast were friendly and helpful - would definitely stay again!

Great Location

Posted 07-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
The location was perfect for us as an evening party we were attending was located a mile away on the same road. As a stand location it is still in a good place as there are so many places you can travel too as well. For example Glastonbury for the Torr etc.

Room with a terrible view

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: Do not use room number 6 as a bedroom, change to a storeroom
Location: Wells, cathedral is a 'must see'
We were shown to our room, passing several dead insects on the way up the stairs. The room was quiet small, the bed had black hairs on the duvet, the view from the window was absolutely awful with a industrial size ventilation unit just feet away from the window, the flat root was littered with debris. The kettle had seen better days, it had been left with stale water and bits of stuff coming off the heating element, needless to say we didn't use it,.there was no waste bin If you do stay at this place do not stay in room number 6

roadside Inn modernised

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: Despite the fact that this hostelry is close to the main road, insulation was very good and we heard no traffic at all.
Cons: The electric sockets i.e. extension lead for the tea making facilities could be improved.
Location: Shopping in Clarkes village in Street and of course nearby Glastonbury.
This pub has gone upmarket. The staff was courteous and helpful
