Nothing fancy, but none the worse for that. Independent hotel very close to the station.
Not for you if you want chocolates on the pillow and the bed turned down, but very nice not to stay in a chain and good value, especially given the location.
My room overlooked the square (with a little balcony) but had good soundproofing so that there was virtually no noise.
Some of the hotel looks a little worn – notably the stairs, but my room (210) was clean and decent with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was fine with a good shower.
Desk space to work at and very good WiFi.
Good range of food (though nothing hot) for breakfast with exceptional range of jams and really fresh bread and croissants. The coffee was above average.
I only saw a few staff, but those were pleasant.
Our experience had been a positive one. The parking under the building is convenience, just to be sure which parking you are going to park your car (P1, P2 or P3 )before your arrival so you don't drive around in the circle and the cost is reasonable (7.00 euro/night).
The room is clean, the bed is heaven . No coffee/tea machine or ice bucket, neither little bottles ,conditioner and body lotion .I like the fact that the shampoo and soap liquid are in the tubes hanging from the wall, thumb up for being green, good idea!
You can hear the noise from the street at 7th floor if you open the window, close it and turn on the A/C problem is solved. It is a good location , just a short walk to the main attractions.
Overall it is a good stay, I would reccomend it.

The ibis hotel Strasbourg Centre Halles is located 10 minutes by tram from the exhibition and convention center and 5 minutes …More
This hotel is elegantly simple. It looks like it has been recently remodeled, so the room was more or less like any other modern but simple hotel room. We only stayed one night, but the room would be perfect for medium to extended stay guests. The kitchen is stocked well enough with pans, etc. to make simple meals, and has a dishwasher for easy clean-up. The location was great - a short walk to almost everything, esp. the train station and Le Petit France (10-15 min.) - though that can probably be said about most locations since the city is relatively small. The staff did their job, but weren't overly helpful or nice. The only real complaint I would have is that the wifi is only in the lobby. From what I gathered, there are ethernet connections in the rooms, but that's only useful if you have a laptop and cable. All in all, a great experience though! I would definitely recommend the hotel, especially for young couples looking to stay for an extended time and wanting to avoid eating out every day (which is relatively expensive in Strasbourg!).
