I am so lucky to have found this home away from home. Everyone is always so helpful and kind. The entire staff is wonderful, and the location is perfect. I stay every summer and have done so for years. I just love this hotel.

"Triple room overlooking Konserthaus &market square"
Great value! Booked a triple for myself and 2 daughters (17,20). Room consisted of 2 double beds (soft) and 1 pullout bed (firm), nice chair, desk, mini fridge and TV (we didn't watch). The pullout was the best I've ever slept on! Sheets and towels seemed very clean. There is no closet, but 6 hangars on a post and room for setting up large and medium suitcase along the wall. The bathroom was good size with a large shower stall. The tile in the shower seemed a bit old. The single sink was fairly large. Water from the tap maybe the best ever tasted! Great location! Simply turn left outside the door and you're on Drottninggatan, the shopping avenue that reaches Skeppsholmen (Modern Museum), Gamla Stan (Old Town), and beyond the Baltic/Malmerrin locks to Sodermalm. This is a great city for running & walking. 4 days was the perfect amount of time for us (we were lucky in July as it only drizzled for half of one day). On one day, we jogged/walked nearly 20 miles! Running is best at Djurgaarten (park) which is near the Vassamuseet (ship museum) which was so crowded with bus tours at 1pm that we had to skip. Our 5th floor room had a view of the Konserthaus with daily markets in the square. The windows allowed for Stockholm fresh air &were triple-pane soundproofed so noise was not a concern while we crashed at 9/10pm and woke at 7/8am. The breakfast buffet is substantial, including enough options for us (vegetarians) with breads, cheeses, crepes, juices, fruit, and Swedish coffee.

Freys Hotel

"Clean hotel, complimentary sauna and umbrellas"
Hotel: across the road from the central station for metro and airport shuttle, restaurants and bars nearby (including one attached to hotel), has a couple of saunas which you can book. Room: free WiFi, clean and spacious, TV, microwave, fridge, kettle, restroom with shower. No safe - although there is a locked luggage room for all guests at lobby. Lobby: complementary umbrellas to borrow, guest restroom, guest computer with printer, seating, secure luggage room. Restaurant: connected to hotel, great selection at breakfast, also serves dinner and drinks. General notes for tourists: the price of food in Sweden is quite high (similar to UK and France); the price of alcohol is much higher in Sweden due to it being taxed aggressively. Bottled water is also relatively expensive, usually 20-25 SEK per 500ml.

HTL Kungsgatan

"Excellent hotel in the centre of Stockholm!"
Came to Stockholm to attend a wedding, and can thoroughly recommend the HTL. It's location was excellent, especially as we had got the bus from the airport to the Central Station, which is just around the corner! We had to visit friends in Gamla Stan, and that was only 10 minutes away too. Excellent. The room had everything we needed, charging points, dark curtains, a friendly bar!

"2 Night stop over in Stockholm"
Used hotel as a base for 2 nights and 1 day in Stockholm. The location is incredible, right next tot he station, so you don't waste time with taxi's and buses to find your way. Breakfast buffet was one of the best we had on the trip, and the staff were friendly and helped us find the best local bars. The decor is interesting, an attempt to be colourful and modern, which I really liked!

Stockholm Inn Hotel

"Nice hotel, close to everything"
The hotel was tiny and had few amenities - bed and your own bathroom with shower. It was underground so there are no windows and it is perfect if you care more about the city you're visiting and want to be centrally located. You are about 8min walk from Stockholm Central Stn, and can walk to old town and there is plenty of shopping, restaurants and museums. The staff are super friendly if you chat with them. The hotel rooms are underground and above on the main floor is a café. The café has small goodies, drinks and ice cream. Their continental breakfast was very simple. There are no phones in the room. If you're like me and don't care about the room other than to sleep it is fine. They do up keep but don't change sheets or towels. Soap and shampoo are provided in pump which is standard in most European hotels. There is a shelf and a couple of hooks and two hangers for clothes. Plastic cup glasses. But again, I stayed for 5 nights and it did the trick. Again the rate, the staff, and the location are top notch. The bed is soft, but this too is standard in most European hotels, they also operate with twin beds whereas if you're used to US/Canada minimum is a double or queen. All rooms are smaller generally in Europe, so again if you're used to big rooms, this isn't your cup of tea.
