“A nice hotel, but far from a 5 star experience”

The hotel is in a good location, just a few minutes walk from the central station in one direction and the picturesque old town in the other, with easy access to much of central Stockholm. The restaurant is fantastic, with attentive, well-trained staff, and high quality food. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the room. It was small, as is often the case in well-positioned hotels in European cities, but it was not particularly clean and was lacking some standard amenities (shower gel, for instance), and didn't have a bath. I would normally expect a higher standard in 5 star hotels. The staff, although friendly and helpful, were not as attentive as you might hope for in a high-class hotel. Unfortunately our room was twin rather than double as requested, and although they found us another room quickly, it was smaller and less well-appointed. Considering it was the hotel's mistake that we had been placed in the incorrect room, we didn't expect a downgrade as a result. Overall, though, a good hotel, but definitely in the middle of the 4-star range, and in my view a far cry from even the minimum standard of a 5 star establishment.

“Great hotel to stay at for a first trip”

The central location makes this an ideal hotel for a first visit to Stockholm. Many of the key tourist attractions are within walkng distance or a short metro ride away. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They even gave me a small birthday gift! Definitely recommend the Sheraton.

“Stockholm's face”

“Nice hotel, friendly staff, great location.”

The hotel is in great location near the Central Train Station and near Metro. Rooms are bigger than other local hotels, which being typically European are small. Good bar in lobby and staff was very helpful. Room service was fast and courteous and available 24/7. No complaints.

Go to the Globe Arena and see hockey. Great atmosphere.

“Can't wait to go back"”

“Great hotel, great location”

This location is a block away from central station and walking distance from many attractions. The staff was friendly, the hotel was modern and nice bathroom with great shower. It had everything I wanted!

“Excellent venue for being at the heart of Stockholm in comfort”

Super hotel, efficient and good facilities at a great price. Good size rooms not found in the older hotels I beleive. Location perfect for access to all the areas to visit in Stockholm and all in walking distance. SAlso good for train, metro, shops etc. I would return to Sheraton if ever in Stockholm. Also staff all very friendly and helpful with perfect English spoken - however this seems true all over the city!

“Great breakfast, friendly service, clean room, good location”

The hotel is at the edge of the business section of Stockholm. Close (easy walking distance) to the central train station and metro and the most touristic parts of downtown (Gamla Stan). Hotel room was very clean and comfortable; not much of a view, but that depends on the room. Great breakfast - not included, but definitely worth it. Service is very friendly, although there can be a bit of a wait. The only problem with the hotel are the lifts; they do not read the room key very well and you have to try several times, which is annoying. Overall, a very nice hotel.

“Could not have been better”

Perfectly convenient. Right across from the train station which is so convenient to get to the airport and all tourist attractions. Also Walking distance to everything! Beds are very comfortable.

Getting around

Walk. Easy to use bus, tram, metro, train. Buy a Stockholm card if staying just a few days. These are available at most hotels and at the tourist center which is EXCELLENT and across from the central station

Must see

Millesgarden!! It is northeast of Stockholm but easy to get to by train/bus.
