“Great Location with good travel links”

Hotel is right next door to Slussen T-bana stop and therefore is in a great loaction to see stock home. We could see the old town from our room. Breakfast was great and a friendly atomsphere. Would recommend.

“Hilton?”

This hotel was very poor indeed. My room was not particularly clean and the curtain was hanging off the rail when I entered. To make matters worse, the towels in the room were smelly and the bathroom drain smelt like sewage. Was really shocked at this, as the Hilton is supposed to be 5*! The place honestly felt more like a 3* and I would not go back again.

“Incredibly helpful staff”

Fabulous location - minutes from old town. Much quieter and less expensive restaurants and shopping than old town. For excellent Swedish cuisine try Blu Dorren just steps from hotel. Also, great buffet breakfast included with room. Only complaint - tiny room size. Would go back in a heartbeat!

“Good place to stay”

Very comfortable room, despite the small size and a lively bar/outside area that we really enjoyed. Location was excellent and the staff very professional. Others had a much better deal on their room price, so check the prices

“Amazing location”

The location is perfect since its opposite Gamlan Stan island. There is also a metro station 2 minutes away from the hotel. Rooms were smaller than I expected but they were as clean and comfortable as in any other Hilton hotels. The breakfast was fantastic with a big variety of things to choose from. Lastly, the view from the Restaurant/bar was amazing.

“A Room with a View”

I had a room on the fourth floor of the general room selection and it was AMAZING. I had the most incredible view of Gamla Stan, the old city of Stockholm. The room and bathroom were incredible...soft downy comforter, a big screen TV, a minibar, and a marble bathroom. And as a huge fan of Stieg Larsson's Millennium series, I got a bit of a kick out of staying in a hotel where the fictional Blomkvist and Berger stayed. Not to mention, you're right next to Gögatan where the headquarters of Millennium are located in the book series. So, if you're also a Larsson fan, this location is an added bonus. The hotel could not be better located. You can walk to Gamla Stan in less than ten minutes, you can take a boat from Slussen to the archipelago, and you can hop on the Tunnelbana and be anywhere in twenty minutes, even the last stop on a line. Amazing food in the area: very near the restaurant Kvarnen, which was a haunt of Lisbeth Salander from the Larsson books. The hotel has an included breakfast and it's one of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. Black out curtains for when it doesn't get dark at night (the sun doesn't set till 11 PM in the summer...and then it rises 3 hours later...). Free wifi. I can go on and on...and I would absolutely stay here again! 10/10.

Area recommendations

Slussen: central location, amazing restaurants, excellent access to the ports, excellent access to the old city Gamla Stan (but you're not in it so you don't have to deal with all the tourist noise), and excellent public transportation.

Getting around

Around town: Tunnelbana, all the way. The buses are good, too, but the tunnelbana is very clean, safe, fast, and efficient. Getting in from the airport: Arlanda Express. It's more expensive than a bus, but less expensive than a cab and it takes under twenty minutes to make the full journey. The train goes over 200 km per hour! It's cool.

Shopping

The area around the Central Station is great for shopping. H&M has incredible deals...I got 6 outfits at what would be about 10 Euros a piece...and they're beautiful!

Dining

Kvarnen. Great restaurant. Must go. Especially if you like the Stieg Larsson books.

Outdoors or beach

You must go to the archipelago! You don't have to go that far out, either--just the first couple of islands, and you can make the trip from Slussen. Bring a picnic or eat out there. Some cute little shops, beautiful views, and lots of birds!

“Very noisy”

We got no sleep as there is a nightclub playing loud music all night and the rooms are not sound proofed. It went on for best part of the night. As we rented a suite we did not expect this. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
