“Very impressed”
A friend and I stayed at this hotel in October, 2011. We found it to be very convenient, the included breakfast was outstanding and the service was also outstanding. The location in Stockholm was very convenient, with the stop for the Hop On, Hop Off tours just a block away. Great hotel and good value for the money.
“Great Location, Good Breakfast, small expensive room”
The best selling feature is the location, walking distance to most tourist attractions, and a few mintues from the subway. Restaurants and shops are very close by as well. The rooms are tiny, yet clean and functional. Stockholm hotels are very expensive compared to north america. This hotel gives good value for your money if you take that into consideration. The breakfast in the morning is a big plus.
“A really good choice for a short stay in Stockholm.”
We stayed at the Elite Hotel Stockholm Plaza a day before a cruise and a day after returning from the cruise. The main attraction of the hotel was its central location. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. When we were tired of walking it was a short walk to the subway. The staff at the, hotel especially Martin, was great. The members of the staff were always ready to help and provide information above and beyond what was requested. Another high point was their complimentary breakfast buffet. We had expected the typical European breakfast setup. We, however, were pleasantly surprised to discover a breakfast to rival any American hotel breakfast buffet. We also had a superb dinner the night before in their restaurant. We are not ones to be easily pleased, but the accommodations and service at the Elite fit the bill for us. We would definitely go back.
“Great location, but rroms are small”
I returned here after an absence of 2 years during which time I stayed at other hotels. It is very well located and the staff are very friendly, especially the lady who is in charge of the restaurant at breakfast. The rooms are really very cramped so make sure you check before booking.
“Good location, small rooms, nice breakfast”
The single room was small, but I didn't spend much time in the hotel so it suited my needs. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide range of foods (yogurt, breads & spreads, bacon & eggs, etc..) spread throughout the dining area, so there was not as much congestion compared to other hotels I stayed in during my trip to Sweden. Not a lot of staff around, so I had to wait a bit during check-in as well as checkout.
“I wish all hotels are like Elite Hotel Stockholm Plaza”
The hotel service and all stay was basically perfect! Nothing to complain about. I would strongly recommend this hotel to everybody.
“Don't stay there on the weekend unless you want to hear very loud rock music”
I was there almost a week. The hotel was quiet, except on Friday and Saturday evening. The rock music from the pub travelled up to the top floor (5th). I had to switch rooms and could still hear it. The management was unwilling to have the music turned down. My understanding is that other hotel guests have also complained about this. The breakfast was superb.
“Check that you get what you pay for!”
Elite Hotel Stockholm Plaza is an ancient building renovated as hotel. You can see by the laberintic corridors that it was not built as hotel from beggining. Be aware if you use weel-chair that you cannot get everywhere just by elevator, to access many rooms in each floor you still have to climb or get down some steps. I got the bad experience that i paid Expedia for a double bed Deluxe room but got single bed standard room at check-in. It was to late when i noticed that at my room and since i was tired and this was a business trip where i will use my room just for sleeping few hours, i didn't complain. But those standard rooms are really small, around 10 square meters max including bath. The restaurant has a very couzy ambience by night, better used as a bar where many well dressed locals arrive. But it is really expensive and they have very few food alternatives. I went instead to the very fancy Vapiano restaurant close to Sture Plaza walking distance from hotel, which is big, plenty of people and doesn't require reservation. It's not very formal (you sit on high chairs, share long tables with other people, order and go for the pizza in a self-service style), but believe me, it is fancy and very popular. The best thing of this hotel is that it is right at 50m from Sture Plaza, the most popular place in Stockholm planty of restaurants and night bars and discos, like Spy Bar and Sture Kompaniet. Then you can stay longer at night as far as you still remember your way back!
“Good location, small rooms, old style - good breakfeast”

“Too Noisy”
The room was tiny. Barely room to place two suitcases and still turn around. There was no ventilation to speak of without opening the window. The room was in the back of the building, not far from the back of the restaurant/bar. Noise was constant and very loud from 11:30 PM to 1:00 AM. Could not keep the windows open. Too hot with the windows closed. I would not stay in that room again or any room on the back street. I would stay in the hotel if a bigger and quieter room were available.
