“Cosy old hotel, centrally located”

The hotel is located not far from the central train station and Arlanda Express. It's a cosy little place with an atmospheric old flair. The staff was not too talkative but very polite, Internet worked once I got a code, breakfast was nothing fancy but not bad either. The room was very nice and clean with an interesting view over the city.

“Very Nice Budget Hotel”

Lodging is typically quite expensive in Stockholm. If you prefer not to spend a fortune on a hotel, then the Colonial is a very good option. Since it is a budget hotel the rooms are small (I was in a single room) and amenities are limited, but that is what you should expect from a budget hotel. The location is excellent. You should be able to walk to any destination in central Stockholm if you choose to do so. The train station is less than a ten minute walk from the hotel. I was on the street side of the hotel, but there is not a lot of traffic so not much street noise. I also did not hear much noise from rooms above or below mine or from rooms on my floor, so pretty good soundproofing. Breakfast was good and plentiful--bread, cheese, meats, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, vegetables, juices and coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sunrise comes early in the spring and summer in Stockholm, so window coverings that do a better job of blocking the light would be nice, but that's a small quibble. I would definitely stay at the Colonial again. Thanks.

“A great place to stay in Stockholm”

I've just had a three-night stay at the Colonial and thought it was excellent value for money. It's located in a quiet area near the City Terminalen, around 20 minutes' walk from the central area (around Sergels Torg). Our room was a standard one, which meant it was a decent size with comfy beds and a nice ensuite bathroom. The self-service breakfast had a good choice that set us up nicely for exploring the city until lunchtime, and the staff were very helpful. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. And don't forget to check out the Muffin Bakery at Drottninggatan 73A - it's on the way into the centre and the muffins are delicious!

It was pleasend supprise to see very nice room with clean bathroom, room service were outstanding and price were diccent for most expensive town in Europe

“Rimelig og praktisk.”

Hotellet ligger sentralt plassert og er ideelt utgangspunkt for sightseeing i sentrum, eller for besøk på Karolinska sykehus (20 min å gå). Bygningen er gammel, men rommene er i god stand. Heisen er så sen at det lønner seg å gå til 3.etasje. Frokosten er helt OK. Dusjen så fantastisk ut, men virket bare som en vanlig dusj (rom 304). Litt ustabilt vanntrykk, Det var ulyder fra rørene når man tappet vann i dusj, vask og toalett som sikkert var plagsomt for andre f.eks. om natten. God oppvarming. Vennlig personale. Utsikt til bakgård.

“Das Hotel liegt nah am Hauptbahnhof”

Wer keinen großen Luxus erwartet findet hier ein nettes Stadthotel. Von dort aus kann man die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt sehr gut zu Fuß in Angriff nehmen. Das Hotel-Frühstück ist sehr einfach, aber ausreichend. Der Frühstücksraum ist klein, es war sehr voll und laut. Mein Zimmer hatte ein eigenes kleines Bad. Täglicher Handtuchwechsel. Das Zimmer war sauber, einfach, aber gemütlich eingerichtet.

Das Zimmer war ok und sauber. Jedoch waren die Jalousien sehr lichtdurchlässig, so dass es morgens ab 5:30 sehr sehr hell im Zimmer war. Frühstück ist spartanisch.

Un albergo per spendere poco ed arrivare dappertutto, soprattutto con buone scarpe, visto il disastro che sono i servizi pubblici cittadini. Venendo dalla provincia svedese, si è abituati troppo bene: la capitale non è all'altezza.

“Kein Hotel, sondern eher ein schlechtes Hostel!”

Habe schon in bedeutend besseren Hotels für weniger Geld gewohnt. Es ist eher ein teures Hostel mit wenig Service und miserablen Zimmern (Fenster nicht dicht, Heizung nicht einzustellen,somit wurde es nacht ziemlich kalt, Dusche defekt und als high light: das Licht im Bad ging spontan an und aus,auch in der Nacht!).Das Frühstück ist nicht wirklich gut. Das einzige was wirklich okay war, ist die Lage. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß leicht zu erreichen.
