“Excellent value for money”
Hotel is very modern, good sized bedrooms and "wet room" with very large shower. It is situated at the southern end of Sodermalm right next door to the Subway (3 stops to Gamla Stan or a 30 minute stroll). Breakfast is self service offering an excellent choice of hot, cold and Japanese. Ask at Reception for free Wi Fi.
“Excellent hotel”
We stayed in The Clarion Hotel for 3 nights in late Feb.It's a very big, modern hotel - c. 500 rooms with a very large and interesting reception/access area. Check-in and check-out was simple and well done. The staff at the reception were very helpful regarding sightseeing, bars, restaurants etc. They have live jazz music in the foyer/reception area in the evenings and also in the main bar area. The breakfast was a very good buffet with almost everything that you might expect and stocks were replenished constantly as would be needed due to the number of people eating. Slightly away from the centre of the main action and a good 25/30min walk to Gamla Stan (Old Town) etc. However, there was a Metro station right outside the hotel door if required. We never used the Metro and walked everywhere! Lots of Taxis outside the hotel (expensive - as is all of Stockholm). All-in-all an excellent modern hotel and definitely would recemmend it!
“Great hotel in Stockholm”
This hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location to the subway is one of the best points, right across the street. The breakfast was also very good with a hugh variety go food. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Stockholm.
“A Fab Christmas to remember....”
I booked this hotel for my partner as I was in the USA with work. We have visited Stockholm many times and have stayed with the Clarion twice before. Whats nice about this hotel is they are consistent with customer service putting the customer 1st at all times. Its a trendy hotel with the very best furnishings. Staff are very polite and friendly. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere with some great views (depending on your room). The breakfast is amazing with so much choice. The hotel is situated only 4 stops on the tube to Gamlastan and 5 to the city centre. That said it would only take you 20 minutes to walk in. There is some great shoping near to the hotel and in the city center...This is fab all round and a 'Must stay' hotel when visiting Stockholm.
“Very comfortable stay - very pleased”
A clean hotel with a great breakfast. The modern art work is very interesting and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff are lovely.
“Lovely stay!”
Stayed 3 nights. Customer service was superb! Reserved a double, but received a room with 2 twins pushed together that split apart all night. The hotel was happy to change the room. The hotel provided us with umbrellas when it was raining, wi-fi access cards and excellent service all around for tips on what to do, where to go and how to get there. The only downside of the hotel was the size of the fitness center. There are only 2 machines - 1 treadmill and 1 bike, and a very small square pool that was drained and had signs up saying it was under maintenance. There was a sauna but no steam room, and the pool, even if it had been filled, still would have been disappointing as it was not a pool at all. It would have been nicer to have a large Jacuzzi instead of that small 2 person pool. Otherwise, the stay was excellent. Hotel is central and is easy to access all of Sweden by metro or foot. The metro is a few steps away and there are lots of shops, restaurants and grocery stores nearby. There are 2 bars in the hotel that are excellent as well. The hotel is clean, modern and well kept. The breakfast is almost 100% bio and is a buffet of everything you could ever think of eating for breakfast and then some, including a Japanese breakfast bar! The breakfast was truly stellar and even when arriving 10 to the hour of closing, there was no rush to clean up the breakfast or push people out. By far the best hotel guest service I have ever received.
“Fantastic”
What a great hotel. The staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful; the room was large and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was full of variety and great quality- make sure to stock up at breakfast for the day! Check out the relaxation room with pool and sauna, and the stylish bar (which serves English tea!). Right next to the tube station and only a couple of stops from central Stockholm, or a quick walk. Highly recommended.

“Hotel staff team”
Overall a very helpful and friendly approach by members of staff team. A litle disappointed on arrival - although fairly late in evening - that only one member of staff on reception and he absorbed in lenghty telephone conversation. When you have spent from 6 am in travel, this very frustrating. (Without this experience top score would have applied.)
“You wont regret staying here at the Clarion”
For Cost Vs.Comfort Vs Care Vs Location..the Clarion would be hard to beat. While this hotel is not located in the traditional center of Stockholm it IS located 20m from the efficient subway network and I found that traveling virtually anywhere from this point was very very easy. The hotel staff were very friendly and prompt, the room was a fair size and always cleaned spotlessly. Not such a romantic view from this location, but it didn't matter at all, just get out and see the city I can only think of a few very minor complaints.. and they ARE minor....... >The bed was just a little too soft (I have back problems and like a firmer mattress) >The breakfast 'rush hour' can get a bit crazy- and the breakfast coffee cups have no handles, so you begin to burn your fingers as you wait to negotiate the hubbub >Very very hard to find butter at breakfast time... you have to almost beg for some. But then you will eventually get a big dollop served up from the kitchen if you persevere (is eating butter banned in Stockholm?) Overall -good breakfast though And yes, I'd stay here at the Clarion again if I come back to Stockholm (hope that can be soon) Stockholm itself is definitely one of the nicest cities I've ever been to.
