I checked into a famous hostel in Stockholm and was surprised how bad it was. Hotels in Stockholm were fully booked but StayAt Bromma had one room. My only concern was that it was not in the city center. It was actually good that the hotel was located in a suburb since the hotel was mixed in a residential area. I quickly reserved it for three nights and it was great. The main advantage was how close it was to the train station at Alvik. It is a 3 to 5 minute walk from the hotel lobby to the train platform and 20 minutes to T Centralen. The hotel room was actually a small apartment with kitchenette, small fridge, TV, full desk, and a full closet. Coffee maker and iron board with iron were also included. The decor was new and modern. These amenities saved me a lot of money since I could cook instead of eating out and I washed my clothes there. There are two lifts since the hotel is over 10 stories high, breakfast is available, washing and laundry machines, and Internet access (you need your own network cable). The surrounding neighborhood is great because it has markets, restaurants, and services that are not visible in a big city like Stockholm. I honestly do not see any reason why I would stay in a Stockholm city hotel in the future.
Walked into the apartment and I was blown away on how beautifully done everything was! The rooms were absolutely massive, so much space and comfort, felt like a home away from home. The kitchen, lounge, bathroom and dining room was lovely, didn't look cheap at all, been done to a high standard. Was greeted by a lovely woman who couldn't have been more welcoming, gave us so much information and made sure we were comfortable with everything, she really was a fantastic help. I also surprised to see how much food the fridge had in it, it had bread, milk, cheese, ham, fruit bowl, etc, what a lovely touch. Couldn't fault anything really, just perfect and easily the best accomodation I've ever stayed in, highly recommend to everyone!
We recently stayed at Biz Apartment Gardet on a working grandparent vacation. Other family members were booked for this location so that dictated our choice. It was an excellent one for us, conveniently located for job and touring. The hotel is comprised of apartments varying from studios (ours consisting of large bathroom with walk in shower, queen size bed, reading chair, dining table for two with chairs and a kitchen area with dorm size fridge, two burner solid surface stove top, ss sink and plenty of cabinet storage) to two bedroom apartments with queen beds, full kitchens (oven, dishwasher, full fridge, etc.), dining table for four, and living room area with sleep sofa and reading chair. All furniture and décor was impeccable Swedish design. Located near two major easy to use bus lines and opposite a large recreation area this largely residential area only needed more restaurants to make it perfect though grocery store was only a short walk away.
10 Days in a most beautiful city was made really comfortable by staying at this hotel. Right from the start the hotel staff were friendly, polite and ready to help with any enquiry. The rooms were on the small side, but clean, comfortable and with excellent showers. The breakfast was top class and mainly of the continental variety (hams, cheeses, different varieties of bread, yogurts, cake, fresh veg and fruit, eggs, juices etc.). A great way to start the day. The hotel had a good little gym with free weights, machines, treadmills, rowing machines etc. and also a small swimming pool. There were different lounges which gave guests ample space to socialise and have a beer or wine bought from the bistro bar. The hotel is located conveniently for getting into Stockholm Central (approx. 15 minutes by public transport). Overall a really nice place to use as a base and very highly recommended.
