Unfortunately we were unable to make use of the spa, which seemed very inviting. The room was lovely and spacious. The hotel was within walking distance with many sights to see and explore. Excellent for a weekend away.
Recently stayed there a few days ago, August 2014, for a business trip. The rooms have nothing to do with the photos on the website. They are extremely small, with no space for your laptop or your suitcase. When I complained, the receptionist told me that the website needs update.
The wifi reception was terrible and the breakfast buffet was limited, with plenty of "paid" options to order.
Would definitely not go there again.

Have to say we really enjoyed our stay at Forrest Hills. The room was perfect, slightly old fashioned but had everything required for a really comfortable stay. We arrived in the evening in fog so were unsure as to the surroundings. We ate in the Rafters Restaurant and the food and service was first class, it was really busy too which is a good sign. Breakfast was of a similar quality, cooked to order and a continental buffet with plenty to choose from. Was delighted when the fog cleared in the morning, set on the North side of Loch Ard the scenery is stunning, didn't manage to use any of the leisure facilities though from what I saw there is plenty to do
We booked this as a convenient stop-over when travelling from the far North of Scotland down to the Midlands. The hotel was easy to find and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. There was plenty of car parking.
The breakfast was Ok and the evening meal reasonably priced and OK.
The Hotel is old and partly r re-fitted. The corridors are creaky and the lift - maybe Edwardian, has a job to take 2 people and a case. Its a lift with two concertina doors and is maybe not suitable for disabled people. The room was small and cramped. The bed had seen better days and I think new mattresses are needed. The bathroom was Ok for size but had only one functioning light bulb and was therefore dark. The shower cubical was very small although the shower worked fine with plenty of hot water. The shower etc. was clean.
The best aspects of this hotel are its convenient location, ample parking and the friendliness of the staff. We didn't pay a great deal so I suppose we got what we paid for.
