The experience was just overnight but the staff and property were lovely. The room was enormous and the shower was equally as big. The room was very clean it was convenient and in a wonderful location close to facilities. The bed was needing a new mattress it was lumpy and uneven in places but otherwise it’s a lovely place to stay overall.

Cool spot in Stirling
Friendly desk guy, great bar down the street, the curly coo. Loved the neighborhood and vintage tartan carpets.

Tiny bed, thin walls, avoid if you want to sleep
The staff are a little like something out of The League of Gentlemen, which we found amusing but others might find confronting, and overall our stay was marred by the tiniest bed in the world and the not-quite-warm dribble that was the shower, with its mildewy shower curtain. Our room was tiny and had a view of another window and a stretch of roof with some rubbish on it. The rooms also have the thinnest walls imaginable and we spent quite a bit of the early hours of the morning listening to the couple next door having lots of moany sex (good for them, not so great for a good sleep) and then bathing and calling out to each other across the room for an hour. Like, we could hear absolutely everything. Also, when we asked to have our luggage stored after checkout, it was stored in a toilet down a hallway that anyone could have walked into. The condition of the hallways is pretty shabby and stained, but the room itself was clean enough and the heating worked. There was no hair dryer in the room, but you could get one if you asked at reception. And the hotel listing says it has a laundry, but nooope. It really doesn't. Overall, we really wished we'd paid the ten pounds extra to go to the other hotel we'd been considering.

I always stay at the Lost Guest House as it's very friendly, allows me to take my assistance, gives a really good breakfast at an excellent price & the staff are great. It's also very handy for the town centre.

Pleasant. Beds were very small, but soft and clean. Shower was good, clean. Breakfast was mostly good, but the sausages were cheap. Pleasant front desk staff.

The property is getting run down (very lumpy bed, tiles falling off the wall, sink plug not operable, etc.) The staff is nice and location reasonably close if you are a good walker. No elevator and we had heavy suitcases!

There were clearly bodily fluids left dried into permanent stains (including blood) on the curtains, carpet, walls, and bed frame. The towels were also not particularly clean either.

Lovely friendly reception, lovely B&B as a whole breakfast fantastic for the price if it was me i would be looking at cost as it was so cheap, Fred and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay plus bed's and room were very clean and comfortable 5 🌟

We were the actual lost guests
It was very difficult to find the correct road to obtain access to the hotel. The street signs are not clear if it’s a road or sidewalk. The room was very spacious with enough beds. It would have been nicer to have more windows to open and cool off the room. Or at least a cooling fan to cool off with.

The service was as good as it could be for a one-person operation, but the condition of the building is very poor. They were dealing with a serious leak when we arrived and it doesn’t look like it was their first time. The closet in our room was covered in mold and I just wonder if the lack of visible mold in our room was because they just painted over it.

Checked out early and went somewhere else
We booked a non-refundable two night stay but we had to leave after the first night and stay somewhere else. First, the radiator didn't work so it was really cold in the room, the employee brought up a heater which was great, but even at the lowest setting, it made the room way too hot so we had to pick between too cold or too hot. Second, the man next door was very sick and very loud. You could hear him cough, sneeze, even yawn through the paper thin walls. We did mention it to the employee (since there are signs saying to let them know if there are noise problems) but unfortunately that issue wasn't resolved. The guest next door also turned on his tv at 7:30am on Saturday morning so there was no chance for sleep after that. I understand that hotels can't control what their guests do but when I mentioned what room we were in, the employee did not seem surprised by the noise from the guest next door, I wonder if he's a long-term guest. The room itself wasn't particularly clean, there was lots of dust, some dirt and some questionable marks on the walls and curtains. To add insult to injury, this website (I'm not saying the name in case that triggers something that prevents the review from being posted) won't price match the lower advertised price we found because the hotel charged our card before we arrived and didn't bother providing a receipt.

This property worked very well for our family visit to Stirling. The family sized room was very spacious and nicely laid out. A short 5 minute walk to Stirling City Centre offered an great selection of eating options and essentials.

This was my second stay at Lost Guest House. Excellent location, and good value for money! The staff are friendly and helpful. Very good location--near enough to walk to everything in Stirling, but not so close that it's noisy at night.

Would not stay here again. The internet was unstable and slow. The shower had poor water pressure, was slippery and water temperature was either boiling hot or freezing cold. It was impossible to regulate. The place was clean and located in a convenient location.

The begining of our experience was we charged a room at the Lost Guest House in Stirling Scotland. to our Visa card. The day before our arrival at this property we received a call from our Visa card company saying our deposit for the room at this hotel has been cancelled because the vendor had represented themselves as a computer store. Our visa company expected this to be for a hotel and cancelled the charge because they suspected it to be a scam. Both my visa card and my husbands Visa card were cancelled. We had to make many calls to this facility to correct the issues causing additional issues. We finally were given room but when we arrived we received a less than comfortable room. After the aggravation caused by the guest house Incorrectly representing its business we expected a little better facility and treatment at the inn. Our room and service we received was not at all what we asked for not received The room was tiny, small bed (we requested a king) and larger room. Not at all as requested. Ver disappointing

This place is a little tricky to find because the access road is on a VERY sharp turn that looks like a sidewalk at first glance. It's cute, quiet, and close to lots of great restaurants. The castle and distillery are a step, but short, walk away.
