Convenient and quiet location.

Posted 21-Apr-2015
Pros: The location is very easy to get to and car parking is good. It is quiet and nicely landscaped.
Cons: Add bacon to the breakfast menu. The toilet was not easy to flush - the handle was slightly obscured by the seat. The room was a bit cold.
Location: The hotel is right across from Morrisons supermarket. It is a short drive to Stirling with a good shopping centre, Castle and Wallace Monument.
We stayed here for 3 nights in April. The facilities are nice and clean and the staff are very pleasant. The breakfast is self service with nice food, although they don't serve bacon!? I would stay here again and would recommend the hotel to friends.

Clean and Modern Hotel - Excellent Breakfast

Posted 08-Apr-2015
Pros: The included breakfast is outstanding and served in a nice atmosphere.
Cons: The nightstands do not have electrical outlets. (My husband uses a CPAP machine and fortunately the front desk was able to locate an extension cord.)
Location: Downtown is just about a 5-10 minute drive so the Stirling Castle is just minutes away. The William Wallace monument is about a 15 minute drive.
The staff members at the Stirling Holiday Inn Express were exceptionally efficient and friendly. The included breakfast was very good with both hot and cold items.

Shame about the bacon

Posted 27-Mar-2015
Pros: Good welcome, nice light room with workspace and chairs, very impressive room.
Cons: Wet room floor got quite slippy as had not realised how damp it had become very nearly had an accident. Perhaps a warning sign here may help.
Location: Lovely view from room.
All very good but no bacon for breakfast, they do have sausages but I don't know what is in a sausage so tend to avoid them.

Excellent stay.

Stayed here at hogmanny, hotel was full but staff were very helpful although they were busy. All staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us to make our stay perfect. Breakfast was very busy but the staff were amazing keeping hot food stocked up. Rooms were clean with comfortable beds and a choice of pillows. Couldn't fault this hotel and will stay with this hotel chain again.

Pros: easy comfortable experience with calm quiet asurroundings - especially after a hectic Christmas day with the grandchildren who live locally.
excellent value, clean and comfortable and hassle free check in and stay. Receptionist very friendly and helpful - our first stay in the hotel but certainly will not be our last.

It's not a U.S. type

Posted 25-Dec-2014
Pros: Excellent breakfast buffet.
Cons: The rooms, the beds, and the staff.
Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are more like old college dorms with narrow uncomfortable single beds and furniture bolted to the walls. Also, there was an insufficient number of electrical outlets and the couple that were provided were located badly. If you have a CPAP you'll need an extension cord. Just do yourself a favor, pay a few pounds more and stay somewhere else.

Superb place to stop and relax

Posted 05-Dec-2014
Pros: Location, price, friendly and efficient staff. All round first class place to stay.
Cons: Hard to see what would make it better for the price.
Location: Good staging post for the highlands
All round great stop-over. Will certainly use again.
