Shame about the bacon

Posted 27-Mar-2015
Pros: Good welcome, nice light room with workspace and chairs, very impressive room.
Cons: Wet room floor got quite slippy as had not realised how damp it had become very nearly had an accident. Perhaps a warning sign here may help.
Location: Lovely view from room.
All very good but no bacon for breakfast, they do have sausages but I don't know what is in a sausage so tend to avoid them.

excellent value, clean and comfortable

Posted 28-Dec-2014
Pros: easy comfortable experience with calm quiet asurroundings - especially after a hectic Christmas day with the grandchildren who live locally.
excellent value, clean and comfortable and hassle free check in and stay. Receptionist very friendly and helpful - our first stay in the hotel but certainly will not be our last.

It's not a U.S. type

Posted 25-Dec-2014
Pros: Excellent breakfast buffet.
Cons: The rooms, the beds, and the staff.
Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are more like old college dorms with narrow uncomfortable single beds and furniture bolted to the walls. Also, there was an insufficient number of electrical outlets and the couple that were provided were located badly. If you have a CPAP you'll need an extension cord. Just do yourself a favor, pay a few pounds more and stay somewhere else.

Good for an overnight stay

Posted 09-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed here for 1 night after flying into Scotland from abroad. Was a fine overnight stay for 1 night. Rooms basic but what I expected. I had booked this hotel because information on its website said there were adjoining rooms. On arriving however we were told there are no adjoining rooms. We did get rooms next to each other so not too bad but would have been better with door between as my kids are fairly young still. Staff were great with advice about local area and printing out some stuff for me. Nice family restaurant with huge indoor playground right next door so we could eat early and crash in bed straight after. Nice breakfast next morning included.
