“Would love to go back”

Convenient location for all of Fairfield County CT, clean and comfortable. Food is good but dining in the hotel is much to expensive!!

“It's will do!”

While the hotel does look a bit dated, it was good, clean and had pretty good service. Not the best hotel I have stayed at, but good enough for my quick trip to southwest CT.

“Not impressed !!”

The ceiling before go to the room..look old, ugly ..they need to keep nice of the ceiling , also the paint around the pool looks old....pool towels are old...!! terrible !!

“Mediocre Marriott”

A bit of a "tired" inner city Marriott. Rooms were just okay, nothing special. Looks like they've done all they can with the circa late 70's building architecture and layouts in the lobby. Decent work out room. Didn't try the spa. Rates were very good at least. Location is also excellent if you're intent is to walk around downtown. Easy to walk to Amtrack train station.

“Stay away - poor management and security”

Well, we should have known there were issues when we received 3 very confused phone calls from the hotel regarding our reservation from 3 different people prior to our stay. We were staying New Years Eve and had booked ahead but it felt like they were trying to get our room for someone else. Upon check-in, we noticed a large sign announcing where a New Year's Eve frat party was being held (in one of the hotel's ballrooms). We should have walked away at that point. After returning back to the hotel after our own New Year's party, the hotel was full of drunk, nasty, and belligerent college kids. The security staff was standing around watching these kids do whatever they wanted (smoking in the lobby of a non-smoking hotel, swearing at other people including children in elevators, and other much more obscene behavior). Once we were back in our room, we could hear these frat boys running up and down the hallways, screaming at each other, hitting each other, etc. We could hear every word through the flimsy door. I called the front desk 3 separate times and finally demanded that they post a security guard in our hallway, which they did not. Their response was that I should have been prepared for this as things get out of control on New Years Eve. I have never felt so unsafe in a hotel in my life, and I have done quite a bit of traveling. The security and front desk could not maintain order and I can't even believe that I had to pay for a night in that hellhole.

“Best beds ever!”

I've never slept on such a comfortable bed. Would go back in a heart-beat.

“go to courtyard”

Had reserved rooms with 2 queen beds...arrived to find rooms with 1 double bed. Could barely fit a roll away bed in, room was so small. room had 2 pillows and 1 towel...had to call and wait (at 1 in the morning) for more pillows and towels.

“Suited my needs”

I stayed at this hotel last year and again this September. Great location and handy to the downtown core of the city so we could walk everywhere. Facilities are good and I enjoyed the pool and spa. Unfortunately due to the hotel restaurant renovations, the only menu available for breakfast except for room service was a buffet which was pricey as the discounted coupons were only available for a limited time. I am planning to stay there again in the future.
