“Convenient location”
Easy thruway access, near busy traffic though so use extra care and caution when entering and exiting. Mostly quiet, especially given the area. It was exactly what we needed: a place to rest and be able to get ready for the next day. Friendly staff was very welcoming. The building itself has a ton of stairs, which was particularly tough on my knees. There was no elevator that I was aware of. Also, if you check the info on expedia.com regarding this hotel it will say check-out is at 12pm, when in reality it is at 11am. We drove in from western NY (roughly, an 8-hour drive) and that extra hour would have been nice to rest up, seeing as we got in at about 2:30am due to unforeseeable circumstances. In my opinion, the building should be remodeled but I'm not complaining only because everything that needed to work, did and the price is low enough to suffice for your basic needs. We only spent the one night because that is all we needed. Maybe not the most comfortable room we've ever stayed in but it does serve the purpose.
“Will NEVER go back.”
Cleaning staff will open door without knocking even if there's sign "do not disturb". There's a nightclub beside the premises and I'm sure loud music will be heard if your room is near to this. This place is dirty.
“Stamford”
Convenient but average at best.
“Cheap for a reason”
The hotel room was very small and the walls were dirty and damaged. Cabs ran outside all night long waiting for people to leave the hotel. The hallways look like a ghetto and smelled terrible. We purchased a room at this hotel so that we would not need to fight morning rush trafic into Stanford before I had out patient surgery. Next time I will spend the money to stay in a hotel where I am not kept awake by moaning and shouting.
“Worst hotel EVER!!!”
Where do I begin!!! Front desk was surrounded by bulletproof glass. The lights in the room didn't work. You had to turn on a breaker switch for them to work, like anyone is supposed to know that. We were woken up in the middle of the night by the front desk to show my ID once again. There was hair all over the walls of the shower. Absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Please do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and stay at a better location unless you don't mind any of what I told you.
“Bad Choice”
We needed a motel about an hour out of NYC and near the Turnpike. This motel fit those needs, but we were terribly disappointed. The motel was filthy, the lights in the room were not working. A clerk had to come up and pull out the bed in order to fix the plugs -- which did not appear to meet code! And then they were unable to direct us to a restaurant in the neighborhood. Finally, the next morning, the promised continental breakfast was non-existent! No juice, no doughnuts. We left in disgust.
“Not Impressed”
The room was very small and there was no cable TV. It was mostly regular channels. The bed was comfortable. Also there was no microwave, no iron, no refrigerater and no proper service. Didn't expect it to be like that but I wanted to get away for a while. Wouldn't recommend this motel to anybody!
“Economic & Location”
The hotel was where we wanted to stay and was very economically placed. We had a local friend check it out and they said it was OK. The breakfast was free but was very minimal and poorly maintained [coffee ran out the first morning& office staff could not get machine to relenish]
“afforable and convenient”
would stay there again
“halls & corridors smell of urine”
motel needes thorough cleaning. cheap enough but definitely needs cleaning. reputation for prostitution and drug dealing...be sure to lock your room and your car....appears to be appropriate.
