“S'ok.....not as good as it was”

A year and a half ago this was a tip notch hotel. Now it's clean but so-so. I didn't have but a handful of channels on the tv and then they were fuzzy. The toilet would need to be jiggled to stop from running. The Internet was really slow too. Its clean and safe but not worth the extra until they can fix some basics.

“Great Place Great Price”

Could not have been happier with our stay. Great breakfast that varied every morning with good HOT food. GGood hot tub and pool whic we used often and had almost to ourselves. If I ever am in the area again this is where I will stay

“Nice Hotel - Would Recommend”

The hotel itself was very nice. It felt like and older hotel that had been remodelled to spruce it up. The room was clean, the bead was comforable and lots of pillows. The downside was that they lacked customer service. It seemed like there was never anyone there at the front desk and when they did appear they were not that knowledgable. I also had a few complaints and they were indeed ligitimate and they were not acted upon and this disappointed me very much to the point of not being able to give them a 10 out of 10 score. The breakfast was good as long as you were early enought to get some before it disappeared. The internet service was very very slow. Didn't even bother using my laptop. Too slow. All and all the stay there was a pleasant one and yes I would recommend the hotel to friends and yes I would return there if I were to visit that location again.

Area recommendations

Fredericksberg and Washington DC. Both are historical places to visit and not far from this hotel location.

“:) It's good to go!”

My husband and I live in NC, and I have stayed at this hotel 3 times from 02/2011-03/2011. He's in training till May there so I go up when able. I was able to get a good rate for my stays on the 3 visits. Hotel is in a great location across the street from a great shopping center, restaurants and less than 1 mile from a movie theater down the road. Great location close to the back gate to Camp Barrett/TBS School. I just tried making a reservation online thru Expedia for my Apr stay of 3 days and 1 of the days reflected an "X" for "not able to confirm avail" for a Queen sz rm for a specific discounted rate, so I called the 800# and the rep was able to work out a total price for a "KING sz rm" for a better rate which included tax/fees! Awesome! Definitely recommend this hotel and booking it thru expedia. The other local hotels around the area are $$$ unless you stay in Fredricksburg which is approx 10 miles out. Breakfast is free and not just bread/bagels, its hot and you can make your own waffles. Its a buffet with a limited selection, but its a different breakfast hot meal each morning. I suggest bringing your own pillows unless you like the big puffy ones. The pillows are too thick for me, so i just bring my own. :) The cleaning ladies are really sweet too. Havent used the gym or the indoor pool, but they look appealing to me, maybe I'll go to the pool on my Apr stay. :)

“Not bad”

One of the main reasons for choosing this hotel was the indoor pool & whirlpool. It appeared to be shut down. The room was beautiful, but the heating system actually kept us too warm though the night was cold. Might just have been bad set of circumstances for us, though. Nice property otherwise.

“Very Impressed!”

The hotel was very clean, with good comfy beds and the sheets aren't scratchy. The breakfast offered there is also very good. The fitness center is nice and updated as well. The hotel staff is very friendly but not often as helpful. I need a package shipped out and the desk clerk acted like I was ailen from another planet. She couldn't help me and gave me wrong directions to the post office. But as far as the hotel goes it's very updated and nice.

“I'll use a different hotel, than you.”

On arrival, no towels in the room. We had to go down (later- not now) to pick them up ourselves. light out in the room was never replaced. My trip was delayed from the first reservation, no credit for staying there, Paid full costs. I've been treated better at a Motel 6.
