“Ambassador St Petersburg - "another fine one"”

At the time of my stay the hotel was exceptionally maintained, the staff were impeccably turned out and as professional as the 'educated' traveller would expect. Although this is not a downside, if you are looking for a hotel with massive 'curb appeal' ie a great backdrop for photo's etc. then this is not ideal.. until you open the entrance doors and walk in - as thats where the magic begins!

“Impressed”

The best location if you want to go to Marinski Teater.,Yusupow palace,Izaak Church,Railway Museum. Perfect. Good value for the money.Good food,,Very nice room service.

“Good hotel - better than expected”

Stayed for the long Easter weekend. The hotel was beautiful, location very good, but we didn't like the general feeling of being overcharged if we used the hotel services. Pool only free at ungodly hours (early monrings), so we didn't go after all. However, strongly recommend, but avoid using "services" like booking tours or opera tickets. They can all be easily booked online before you go!

“Good hotel but beware...”

This was my first stay in this hotel and I was given a room right underneath their last floor bar and restaurant, which is generally quiet at night. But one night, they rented the place to a very noisy group. Could not even listen to the TV in my room. It lasted till past 11:00 pm. I went back to this hotel since and asked fopr a quieter room and they gave me satisfaction.

“Enjoyable Stay”

I am very happy to recommend this hotel. It is clean and comfortable and the service I had was fine. It's about 5-10 minutes walk from a metro and 15 or so minutes from the Nevsky Prospekt sights. I have a slight quibble in that extras seemed slightly on the pricy side but there were plenty of places in the neighbourhood to avoid those

“Good location”

The hotel was very nice and in quite a good location close to 2 metro stations. Very disappointed to find out that the pool and gym facilities were only free from 07.30 - 11.30 and at any other time the charge would be 500 roubles (gbp11) each for 1 hour, didn't bother. Buffet breakfast was very good, didn't use the main restaurant in the evenings because it was very expensive. The concierge wasn't very helpful unless you showed interest in booking a trip organised through the hotel. The charged 800 roubles for the 1 hour boat trip which cost 500 roubles when you booked direct

Traveller's tip
Travelling on the metro can be difficult unless you can understand the cyrillic alphabet.

“Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ist ok”

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Restaurant und Frühstück auch ok. Die Lage ist auch nicht schlecht - relativ zentral - nah an der Isaakkirche. Das Zimmer: schönes sauberes Bad -Schlafzimmer eher einfach, leider Teppichboden und man konnte das Fenster nicht öffnen. Im grossen und ganzen waren wir zufrieden und man kann das Hotel weiterempfehlen.

Area recommendations
St Petersburg ist eine wunderschöne Stadt - herrliche Gebäude, ein muss die eremitage mit Winterpalast, Isaakkirche, Peter-Paul Festung , Newski Prospekt - auch zu Fuss durch die Stadt laufen

“Excellent hôtel, bien situé et abordable”

Nous avons été très satisfait de notre séjour (de 5 jours) dans cet hôtel. Il est bien situé (20 minutes à pied de l'Hermitage). Proche de la Nevsky Prospect (15 minute à pied). Le confort de l'hôtel est très bon, belles chambres grandes et propres. Le restaurant est tout simplement magnifique ainsi que la piscine et le hall d'entrée. De plus le Wifi est gratuit :).

“das hotel ambassador liegt zentral in der nähe einer metro-station”

das ambassador ist ein wunderschönes hotel. am meisten hat mir das frühstücksrestaurant im 9. stock mit einer umwerfenden aussicht über st. petersburg gefallen. aber auch die übrigen angebote des hotels sind hervorragend, so dass man unbedingt eine weiterempfehlung aussprechen kann.

Area recommendations
als ausflug würde ich unbedingt peterhof empfehlen. atemberaubend schön.

“Bon hôtel bien situé”
