“Friendly and comfortable in a great location”
Friendly and comfortable in a great location - says it all really! The staff spoke good English - and seemingly several other languages. I went out to local cafe for breakfast as seemed better value - it wasn't included in my deal.
“Central and Comforatable”
You can't beat the location for this hotel. Half a block from St. Isaac's Cathedral, two blocks from the Admiralty, the Hermitage and Nevsky Prospekt with a bus stop half a block away. The hotel itself was very clean, with friendly reception and a round the clock security guard. My room was decently sized with all everything I needed. My only two complaints that the windows opened into an interior lobby which got noisy at times. Also the room was pretty warm even in the cool November weather, most likely because of the lack of exterior windows.
“Perfect for Saint Petersburg”
We stayed here for three nights and it was excellent from freindly staff to great rooms. Very handy as a base to discover the city.
“Worth the Money”
The hotel is in a great location and is clean and well run. The room i had was a standard room and wasn't massive but was clean and well furnished. I got the hotel on a special deal and that made it good value
“Well kept secret”
This hotel is low key, but much better than you think when you walk into Reception. The Sky Bar is friendly and has free WiFi plus great view of St Isaacs, and the small swimming pool in the spa is a real bonus. It is kept very cold so usually empty! And the food is very reasonable too.
“Good hotel in a great location”
The Petro Palace is withing walking distance of many of the 'must see' sights in St Petersburg. The hotel is clean, rooms comfortable, and the staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is great (except they keep the same awful music on all the time) and even the hotel restaurant is good, albeit it has a very limited selection of main courses. However, there are a number of real good restaurants also within a short walk. All in I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and when I return to St Petersburg I expect to stay at Petro Palace
“Historic St Petersburg close to major attractions”
Location is central and very close to main shopping district and to the Hermitage. A few nice restaurants were also quite close by. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and warm ( even had heated bathroom floors) which is a plus for Russia's cold weather. Only thing off was that you had to pay for even basic TV and not only movies. Not a major issue as we did not spend much time in the room. Hotel concierge was very helpful in calling cabs to an from the airport. Also, they were able to send me a host letter so as to get a Russian visa ( make sure you secure the visa ahead of time before your trip) Would recommend it to friends
“Enjoyable Stay”
Petro Palace Hotel is (I think) only about 6 years old, but the rooms are decorated in a very classic style. The staff at the hotel are almost all bi-lingual, which was great. They are all friendly and helpful. Our room was huge, one of the biggest I have seen! And the bathroom was also huge, with a heated floor, plenty of towels and the usual amenities. Breakfast was included in our room rate and it had all the usual choices (cereals, pastries, yogurt, fruit etc.) You could also order omelettes or bacon and eggs. The Lobby Bar, Sky Bar, and business centre have free wi-fi, or you can pay for wi-fi in your room. Our room had a balcony so we had a lovely view of St. Isaacs Cathedral. If we were to return to Saint Petersburg I would not hesitate to stay at the Petro Palce again.
“This is great deal Hotel vs Money!!!”
this is very well located hotel and very closed to most interesting venues
“Good location, price and service”
I stayed at Petro Palace twice during my visits to St Petersburg and I enjoyed both stays. The hotel is located close to the city centre and the service is efficient. There's a restaurant and a bar in the hotel and more restaurant choice close by. The internet connection was all right (complementary in common areas).
