“Met expectations”

This hotel is well located and is near shops, restaurants and bars. Everything in St Petersburg is a fair walk but this hotel is located well and is only about 10 minutes walk to the Winter Palace and Hermitage. Rooms are quite small but clean and functional. The breakfast was below expectations and this was the only negative aspect of our stay. Desk staff were most helpful throughout our stay.

“An excellent hotel”

I stayed at the hotel twice (a total of 14 nights) and both times was perfectly satisfied with its facilities. Can't think of any real drawback. Everything was fine, but two things deserve a special mention: - I found the hotel staff remarkably helpful, and - The location simply could not be more convenient.

“Great location at a great value right off Nevsky Prospekt”

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The location right off Nevsky Prospekt is excellent and is within walking distance to all major sights in St. Petersburg, close to public transportation as well. The hotel has no airport shuttle, but for RR1200, they assist with pre-arrangement of a taxi from the airport to the hotel (or vice versa) - even by credit card. Breakfast is usually included and plentiful (especially for the budget-minded traveler). Bonus: free wireless internet in the rooms. Bathrooms are more European (smaller) size, but definitely manageable. I would (and hopefully will) definitely return again!

This hotel is in a great location and at an affordable price. Also there was complimentary internet access. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay in this hotel again.

The location is wonderful, right in the middle of everything. Comparing to the price you pay, the service is not bad. It is good that breakfast is included.

Great hotel for the price. the rooms in the back can be quite noisy. At the end of my stay, I was given a room in the front of the hotel and the shower was equipped with sauna and whirlpool.

“Hotel Nevsky Grand”

Having read some reviews on this Hotel I was a bit put off BUT when I got there I think they were all reviewing the wrong Hotel. They were, in fact, staying in the Hotel on the other side of the same road!! The rooms were perhaps on the small size for couples BUT the position of the Hotel being so Central plus the costs certainly outweighed this. After all I only use a Hotel for night time as am out all day enjoying the delights of the City. ALL the staff were extremely pleasant and spoke excellent English apart from the waiters in the Restaurant but as their superior could there were no problems and the food was superb. I will certainly be back.
