“Modern. Clean. Good service. Good, but not the best location.”
It is modern, clean, standard 4 star hotel. Very good service. Good location - city center, but if you are tourist it is better to stay at Grand Europe hotel or Astoria hotel. But it is another price level. So for this price it is a good place to stay, much better (double or triple times better) compare to Pribaltiyskaya or Pulkovskaya hotels
“Convenient Hotel”
This hotel was very convenient to all the tourist attractions. By catching the 7 or 24 bus which ran up and down Nevsky we were able to see almost everything we planned to see. The hotel has a very nice gift shop at the back of the centre. The selection was great and prices were good as well. The hotel breakfast was basically the same everyday, so, so. Had one dinner and that meal was wonderful although a little pricey. The bar offers happy hour which was nice. Overall a nice hotel, does need some updating. Carpeting is pretty warn.
“Volcano disruption victim”
If you go to this St Peterburg hotel, then make sure that your visa extends well beyond your intended departure date. Ours did not and when the volcano disrupted travel we were left in some difficulties and at the mercy of the Russian bureaucracy as we tried to extend and renew the visas. The hotel was not very cooperative on the first occasion but improved for the second occasion. A couple of surreal wasted days as we tried to get the visas renewed. Rather took the shine off what would have been a great holiday. The hotel rates went up rather steeply when we had to re-register but you do not have much of a bargaining lever once you are dropped in it.
“Happy with our choice”
This was our first trip to Russia and we were happy with our choice of hotel. The staff were very helpful and polite. Frontline staff were all young, most spoke some English. We felt welcome in the hotel and ate at the Cote Jardin on 3 nights and the menu was large enough for us to give us plenty options. We chose a rate inc breakfast and the buffet was more than adequate. We booked our transfers to/from airport through the hotel and used the concierge service to book opera tickets. This worked well for us. There is a lot to see in the city and the location is quite a bit from the sites but easy to navigate. We did not use the metro but this would help cut down on the walking. our main issues were that the rooms were pretty hot in April when it was pretty cold outside so not sure how it would be in the summer. Second negative which could be easily put right by the hotel is the pillows. They were so high and uncomfortable, maybe we should have asked for other ones but we all thought this made our trip less comfortable. The hotel reception was undergoing re-development at the end of our stay but they did try to minimise the impact on the guests. The souvenir shop was very handy and opens late. We enjoyed the Hermitage, the Church of Spilled Blood, the summer palace at Pushkin and some other sights. Overall we were very happy with our hotel and felt safe and welcome there. Not a cheap trip but very interesting and enjoyable.
“Nice place to stay”
Nice hotel with good rooms and service.
“St Petersburg best hotel”
One the best hotels I've ever stay in ,clean, friendly polite staff , so helpful great location perfect. Bettter quality than USA.
“good place for a short break”
Very central and comfortable hotel with helpful staff. breakfast a bit on the dear side. Comfortable bar altho the smoking spoils it as we're not used to this coming from Scotland. Good gym - I was the only one there each time. Would recommend for ease of walking to major sites.
“St Petersburg Novotel”
