“Cool and Relaxing”
Really pleasant experience staying at this individually styled boutique hotel. It was like an old motel that had been brought up to date but still contained an air of charm and retained all that is good about this area of Florida. The room was spacious and aesthetically pleasing with a surfboard in the corner and a printed mural on the wall of the sea and a surfer. I would say there was no coffee maker or hairdrier in the room which for a modern hotel is a little unusual and maybe should have been clearly stated in the amenities and the windows couldn't be opened. The reception did generously hand out big fluffly towels daily for guest use at the pool or beach. There are live bands at the beach bar of this hotel and the one next door which which are very loud during the afternoon and evening playing American rock classics. This area and hotel attracts American university students on spring break who can get very over-excited and noisy but overall everything noise wise finishes up before midnight and all the kids go to bed and on occasions when I woke in the night you could hear a pin drop. An interesting area and hotel to visit on a beautiful strip Gulf Blvd surrounded by water with the Gulf of Mexico on 1 side and International Bay on the other. Try the Cuban restaurant across the road and the Village Inn a bit further down for pie.
“Very noisy but great for beach”
Just stayed here for 3 nights with 2 teenage girls. Hotel location was good for beach which is fantastic but you have to drive to the Pier and downtown about 25 mins away. As others have said the rooms are OK, although the bathrooms could do with updating but they are so very noisy, we had a group of girls next door who were still whooping at 3am and then above us a group of lads who got in at 5am to start the noise all over again! if you had a quiet room it would be a great place to stay. Dont bother with the Wildwood Grill;the food is not good as most of the places unless you want to eat lots of salty meat and fried food! The staff at hotel were nice. The snack shack at beach bar was mediocre but they had some good bands at the bar the weekend we were there and are certainly trying to make it a great place to stay! Pool was good, always sunbeds available but more umbreallas needed.
“beach hotel”
simple but clean and comfortable.good mix of ages. specially good for younger age group. excellent beach location. has lovely beachbar and bbq restaurant.
“Poor value for money but very clean and modern”
Although Postcared Inn was very well decorated and clean- the room conveniences were not as expected- for the money I would expect and kettle and tea/ cofee and an iron and ironing board. Breakfast was only self serve toast, hot drinks and cereal- again for that price you would epect a coked buffet. Pool area and bar excellent- food not very good- great location on beach- bit noisy if you eanted an early night or afternoon nap- garden/ pool noise and noise from upstairs difficult to ignore. Extremly clean and well maintained room. I guess I just found the place too basic for the price.
