“A Happening Place”

Great loc ation. Nice staff. St. Petersburg has beautiful museums all walkable from the hotel. Beautiful marina.

“Far from what is expected of a Hilton”

Unfortunately this hotel stay was a disappointment from the moment we parked. The common areas are very sparse and poorly decorated. The room was substantially large, yet again very sparse in decor. On a positive note, the room was very clean. From there on, it was a true nightmare. We visited the hotel restaurant, Tangerine, and at first glance it looked ok despite the servers having stains on their shirt uniforms. The menu is dismal and upon a quick reflection got up and left. As we went back to our room, we noticed the thinness of the walls as we could hear our next door neighbors talking loudly. We had a lovely dinner in downtown St. Pete and called it a night as we had an early wake up call. We were woken up 3 times by heavy banging on the walls as our neighbors returned from what we guess was a night of partying and drinking. We called hotel security and that only made matters worse. We requested a change of rooms and got an immediate response. The security guard kindly let us know we should have requested a room in the upper level floors ~ how were we supposed to know that? After a restless night we got a free breakfast, before checking out. Unless you are in the partying/drinking mode do not stay at this hotel. It is a disappointment for a Hilton and the unnecessary and unjustified price tag. Would not go back and certainly would not recommend.

“"Everything you could want in a hotel"”

Our stay at the Hilton was very comfortable. All of the staff were very helpful, welcoming, and friendly. They went above and beyond what is expected. The Hilton is in a fantastic neighborhood where there are plenty of restaurants and cafes. When we go back to St. Petersburg this is where we would plan to stay.

Area recommendations

There are a variety of restaurants, all within a one block radius of the hotel that are affordable and have great food. The Pier is a lovely neighborhood, very comfortable, lots to do. We especially enjoyed the local beaches. St. Pete and Treasure Island were wonderful.

Outdoors or beach

Try going to a different beach everyday. They are all wonderful and unique. St. Pete and Treasure Island are beautiful and an easy access from anywhere in St. Petersburg. The boat trip to Caladesi Island is well worth it. Go early and plan to spend the day swimming, watching dolphins, and picking up shells. Honeymoon Island is also a lot of fun. It has lots of sandbars and the water is very shallow. Great with kids and also fun to look for shells here.

“Need a make over”

“Wonderful service”

This is a great hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. location great. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, beach and museums. Nice pool. Great place to stay with kids.

Area recommendations

Pier great. Rented bikes and watched dolphins from local park. They were that close. Recommend the Dali museum, right across the street. Fun activities for kids there as well.

“Never again at the Hilton.”

We arrived and the lobby was nice the desk clerk very helpful then tired and late we went to our room to find that the air conditioning was about 30% efficient. It was not till the second day when maintenance changed the filter that the room was as expected. On the third day of our stay we left for a day trip at 5:00 am returned at 7:00 pm to take a shower only to find my room was not serviced, no towels no soap and barely an apology. Compund that with other small annoyances like TV was not working, charged for parking specifically when the desk was told twice the car would only be there one night, internet would not work in my room or the lobby. I have traveled to the Carribean, South America, Central America, and Europe this was a poor example of a 3-4 star hotel. Way over priced and just not very appealing. My son now lives in Tampa and I will be visiting frequently, this was my last time in a Hilton. As most airlines thank you and tell you at the end of the flight thank you for choosing us. Hilton should try to rember we have choices and you are no longer on my list.

Area recommendations

We tried three different restaurants all were priced moderately and the seafood was great. Cafe Alma was lots of fun and the food delicious. There is a large gelato place the name escapes me but the gelato is imbedded in my mind. A+

“Great bargain when booking "blind" based on stars and location before leaning which hotel we had boo”

All round terrific stay and great value. Parking was available close by at lower rates, but the convenience and security was worth the 12.00 daily car park rate. Lovely pool and lounge area and food and beverage service right to the tables/ lounges was availble by usingt the bar telephone. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
