“I will never stay here again”

The room was dirty when I arrived. Staff would never provide clean towels and linens. I had to ask for clean towels or I would never get them. Room was never cleaned during my 4 day stay. Off-site hotel parking lot was a pain since it was located away from the hotel and my rental car was vandalized while parked there. For the price I paid during the Grand Prix weekend, I expected much more than what I got.

“Wonderful hotel/wonderful people”

After a small snag caused by my internet booking not being in-sync with the actual situation at the hotel (almost full and the room I had booked 20 minutes prior online not actually being available in 'real life'), the desk staff was truly concerned and more than helpful. They found me a delightful room that was extremely large (actually a suite with kitchen, HUGE bedroom and two separate dressing areas as well as well appointed bath). I couldn't have asked for nicer, more caring customer service and a more comfortable or better appointed room. I definitely will go back again.

Area recommendations
Downtown St. Petersburg is vibrant with museums, art galleries, cafes, shops, parks and outdoor activities. St. Pete has always been a lovely, if slightly dead, town. Now it's a great little city. I also went back to Sunken Gardens botanical park for the first time in almost 50 years. It's a must-see with winding trails meandering through exotic plants and towering trees. Sunken Gardens has been there 100 years and is one of the few 'old Florida' attractions left.
