“Great Hotel with superb beach views!”
When we arrived at the hotel, all the staff were extremely friendly and of course you get those lovely cookies! The hotel itself was really nice. We had a room on the 5th floor and had booked a "Gulf View" room. The view itself was fantastic. The actual room was very clean - we had everything we could ask for. The hotel has lovely facilities. There is a nice pool, although it's not huge, but you have use of towels around the pool which is good. We ate breakfast overlooking the beach and it was one of the nicest breakfasts we had on our holiday. There is also free parking. We used this hotel as a base to visit Clearwater and it was about a 10/15 min drive each way. Would definitely stay again!
“Doube Tree Resort”
Fantastic - location is great and the staff can not enough for you. NO problems with anything and you get the feeling that if something was wrong the staff would sort it out in an instance.
“Couldn't be faulted !”
Everything about this hotel was good. We had a Gulf side room and watched amazing sunsets from our private balcony every night of our stay. We saw dolphins in the bay and loads of birds including pelicans, herons, terns etc., actually on the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel facilities excellent. They have a Business Centre where we used computer faclities free of charge in order to book our seats for the flight home and print out a boarding card. The Redington Beach area is lovely with a bird sanctuary within walking distance and a 'Trolley' (bus) stop just outside the hotel for a scenic ride to Clearwater or St Petersburg for $4 a day. The hotel car park is underneath the hotel so your car stays cool even in those temperatures. All in all - couldn't be faulted !
“Good value for money”
The hotel is good value for money and a perfect location if you want to relax on the beach. We were disappointed with the service levels as there seemed to be a shortage of staff at the tiki bar and lounge bar. The bar offers a happy hour but we were always charged the same for our drinks. Perhaps the pricing of what is included could be advertised more clearly.The food in the restaurant was good although the menu was rather limited. We have stayed previously and probably would do again although the lack of staff and clarity of pricing during the happy hour took the shine off a good break. Maybe time to consider other options. On a more positive note the staff who were there were very friendly and could not do enough for you.
“Quality Quiet Location”
If your after a quiet, good quality hotel on the beach in St Pete's the Doubletree is ideal. We had an excellent 10 day stay over looking the beach in a well maintained, comfortable hotel. North Reddington is a quiet strip of the beach with very view restaurants within walking distance, so a car is essential for a stay here, but if it's a quiet beach location your after then look no further.I would have no hesitation in staying here on future trips to the Tampa Bay area.
