Absolutely perfect hotel!!!!

Posted 28-Jul-2015
Pros: EVERYTHING!!!!!
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Perfect spot. Grocery store is right across the street. Lots of dinning in walking distance.
At first, I didn't think this hotel would be that great because of the low cost. Boy was I wrong. Staff was helpful and very nice. Outside bar was perfect. Dinning in hotel was reasonable and very good. Comfy beds and clean room. I loved this place. I will be returning to The Dolphin Resort Hotel next year.

Best deal on the beach.

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: BEACH! This was a vacation to just chill. Did not do anything but relax this trip.
Fourth stay at Dolphin Beach Resort. Second time with beach view-3rd floor.Great place to stay-close to restaurants,Publix grocery across street, beautiful sunsets. Room was nice,no problems with plumbing or anything like that. Beautiful view of beach-enjoyed watching sunsets from balcony. Flippers beach bar has entertainment on fri. and sat. night.Anyone with Gluten free diet like mine(celiacs) can find great pizza at Genaros in pasa-grill just a couple minutes south.(Publix has a lot of Gluten free items also). Took my own bread and the restaurant was fine with making me toast(lovem for that!)

A wonderful surprise

Posted 21-Jul-2015
Pros: It was in a great location, and being able to walk right outside to the beach was awesome.
Cons: We were there for five days, and the cleaning staff seemed to take less and less care with making sure the room was cleaned the longer we stayed.
Location: John's Pass (shopping, dining, dolphin and pelican watching), Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Tropicana Field (Tampa Bay Rays), beaches, restaurants.
This is a slightly older but very well-kept hotel that is right on the beach. It also has a nice swimming pool and a shuffleboard court. It was exactly what my family needed. The staff was great, the hotel restaurant had reasonably priced, tasty food, and it's also close to lots of excellent restaurants and places to visit. There's also a bar with live music and karaoke most nights. The beach and the hotel's proximity to it is worth the trip.

Nice close to the beach, room has great space.

When arrive the 2 receptionist were very professional, friendly and polite. They gave me the room in the first floor with a balcony with a pool view, have a great size and clean, except for the bathtub not to clean. On the first night I call reception and request a couple of pillows and the receptionist was very rude staying they don't have more pillows. The following day I asked the room service personnel while they were doing the cleaning at the room and they were able to give it to me. If you stay on the first floor and it's a guest on the second floor of your room it's very noisy. Overall I will definitely come back, it's great place with a nice location in the front of the beach, can't wait to come back....

Family vacation.

Posted 06-Jul-2015
Pros: It is right on the beach.
Cons: Please provide more shade. Need shade for children and babies. There are only 3 umbrella tables. Recycle bins, there are none.
Location: The location is very convenient, next to grocery store, some eating places and of course the beach.
This hotel worked out perfect for us to have a family reunion. We had a wonderful time just relaxing.

Average stay

Posted 30-Jun-2015
Loved the access to the beach. The rooms were clean but aged (ie; faucet in bathtub wouldn't fully shut off, shower pressure was fair). Staff was friendly. When we checked in (after 4pm) our rooms weren't ready and it took us asking several times for them to give us an answer. It looked like there were many people that were waiting for their rooms as well but we were pleased that within 10 minutes it was ready. Which was about 25 minutes past check in. Not sure if this is typically for them but you could tell the people waiting in the lobby were not happy. The pool was very small given the size of the complex. The water was warm Not cool at all. Overall a fair place to stay, reminds me of a dated Days Inn.
