“Our Favorite on St Pete Beach”

I grew up in the area and still have family here, so we visit often and almost always stay at the Beach House Suites. My wife loves the place, mostly because it's on the beach (not across the street) and all of the suites are either partial- or full-gulf view. The location is convenient to anything in southern Pinellas County via the Pinellas Bayway that links to the interstate. The hotel appears to be condos that were converted to hotel units, so it is great for extended stays. Rooms are clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. Guests also get access to all the amenities at the fancy Don CeSar which is walking distance down the street. During one stay we had a problem with the A/C, and within 5 minutes of our call, the maintenance tech was in the room fixing the problem.

“Great place but could be better”

Hotel staff are excellent. I love the balcony just to sit and look at the ocean. Rooms are showing their age. Carpeting has wrinkles, needs to be replaced. Pull out beds are not comfortable. They rarely are anywhere though. The rooms are a nice size. One bedroom suites with washer dryer. kitchen and serving bar. Dining room table. Internet access and flat screen tvs are new. This was my third visit and I will go again.

There is nothing like the white sandy beaches at St Pete.

“Don Cesar Beach House Suites - A Great Place!”

We continue to return to the Beach House Suites year-after-year because of the terrific staff. The Staff - Bartenders, Housekeepers, Pool Attendants, Bellmen, Housekeepers and Managers are what make this place so special. The Condo - always clean and fresh! Nice towels and linens. Fully equiped kitchens with modern appliances. Flat screen televisions. The pool - nice chairs with comfortable pads. Great pools towels and service. The Bar - great drinks and bartenders. It's the happening place where you can pass away time with new friends. Food is only a phone call away. Parking is well managed. Restuarants are within walking distance as well as car rentals and groceries.

Getting there

Fly into Tampa International. Renting a car at airport is so easy. Pick-up and return is simple. We drove from the Beach House, returned our car and were in the terminal in a total of 39 minutes.

Dining

Dining on the Beach - Must eat at Snappers and Mad Fish!! Great seafood and service. Walk from the Beach House to the Sand Bar at the Bon-Air - their Hamburgers are a must! Or enjoy some timeat the Undertow Bar next door to the Beach House!

Other

A massage at the Spa Oceana at the Don Cesar Resort is a must!! Ask for Toni or Wes!!

“Renovations Needed”

If they are associated with and wish guests to feel as if they are associated with the "main hotel" in St. Pete Beach, COMPLETE renovations are needed! We were satisified (as returning visitors to the St. Pete area) but many tiles in the bathrooms were broken, there were leaks in the ceiling, garbage disposal didn't work, and the kitchen countertops were chipped and stained. We could overlook the need for renovations because of the view... our room looked directly over the Gulf (unbeatable)! The staff at check-in/out were very welcoming and friendly - GREAT place for families with children! YES, we'll return and would recommend other families stay here BUT we would hope they renovate before our next visit!

Families looking for a slower pace and who enjoy sightseeing, shelling, and/or fishing would appreciate Pass-a-Grille and Fort DeSota.

“Had a great time can't wait to go back”

Appreciated a last minute reservation. We got a king 1 bedroom suite with kitchen, living room, dining and balconey side view of the ocean. Everything was upgraded with granite countertops and the couch/bed gave extra sleeping area. We enjoyed listening to the ocean. We were right on the beach and took advantage of the cabanas and recreational vehiceles. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very neat and clean. We were able to go to Don Cesar Hotel, very impressive, on the shuttle. We will be back next time we are in St Pete.

“Great value!”

We selected this Don Cesar Beach House units because we were a family of four looking to stay on the beach. It is a great place because, even though we did not enjoy the amenities of the Don Cesar Hotel such as the fitness club or restaurants, they were easily accessible for those that did. WSould definietely go back.

“Good not great”

For the price I expected a bit more. Best if you are going to be there for 4 or more days so you can utilize the benefit of the kitchen. Seemed very dead, but didn't want crowds so that was okay. Ice machine shut off and took forever to start. They besought us ice. Very accommodating. Great view. February was warm but not really beach weather. Mexico or an island to really get the warmth. Great location.

“Can't wait to go back”

This hotel suite was very nice. It was a home away from home. It has a kitchen-dining-living room combo, private bedroom with a private bathroom, a second bathroom for guests and a private balcony overlooking the Gulf. The beach is nice. Grocery stores, restaturants, entertainment are close by. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only critical thing I can say is that the bathroom floors needed a bit more cleaning. I will definitely go back to this hotel suite.

Area recommendations

St. Petersburg downtown. Don't miss the Salvador Dali Museum. There are many more attractions which I will definitely go to one of my future trips.

“Perfect location with all the comforts of home!”

We stocked up for the week at the grocery store(just a few blocks away) on the first day. Having a full kitchen, all utensils, dishes, pots and pans, microwave, coffeemaker made for many intimate breakfasts and dinners on our balcony overlooking the gulf. The sunsets were amazing! Having access to the Don CeSar Resort just a short walk down the soft white sand beach was great. Many places walking distance or just a short drive to eat, drink and shop. The staff is so helpful and friendly, from the front desk to the pool staff to housekeeping. Excellent place to stay. Can't wait to go back!

Shopping

Johns Pass was so much fun. So many bargains and places to stop for a drink and a snack.

Dining

We loveda place called Sea Hags just up the street. Great food, nice view, fun staff! The crabcakes are to die for!
