“"Impressed with most"”
Overall, I was very satisfied with the resort. The only confusing thing was the pictures that made you think you were directly on the beach. You are not, but a short walk across the street down a path was not a dealbreaker. I would stay here again. Everything was a short drive away, and by short within 20 minutes.
“Would definitely go back”
Only wish was for a 2nd bathroom.
“Will NOT be returning...”
The direct website for this hotel is very deceiving. We were also given inaccurate information from the front desk upon calling the hotel directly for additional details prior to our arrival. Our particular condo was very uncomfortable from the beds, to the couch, to the chairs. Our shower heads both were clogged and minimally functional. Additionally, we had no bath tub for our 2 year old daughter- a shower stall only. There was only one tv in the entire unit and upon requesting an additional for our daughters bedroom for bedtime were told, 'all units are owner rented, therefore we are unable to do anything for you.' We requested being moved to another unit several times and were again told we were stuck due to being at capacity (which we found hard to believe considering the minimal car volume all 8 days of our stay). We definately will not be returning, nor would recommend this resort to anyone!
“Good price for a spacy condo”
We traveld with 2 kids, a spacy living room, well equipped and good maintained
“had a great ime”
Had a great time would reccommend it to everyone that wants a quiet family oriented vacation
“Great Beach Vacation!!”
Barefoot Beach is ideal for families that are looking for more than a hotel room. We enjoyed the spacious two bedrooms, sunroom, living room, dining area and kitchen. The grounds are meticulous and an added bonus are the well positioned grills to cook out on. The beach access is just across the road and was no problem. My wife and I and two kids enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return trip.
“Just OK”
Overall not too bad. The location was great and quiet. Short walk to the beach. The rooms are spacious compared to a hotel room. However, the room was not very clean. It was dusty, shower heads were grungy, and stains on the couch. Only two rolls of toilet paper in the room. If you run out, it's available at the office for a dollar per roll. Haha! Not sure if I would go back.
“Okay but customer service could have made up for lots”
This is a nice place to stay as far as location- right at access crossing to beach. The room was neat and generally clean. Only 1 - not new- roll of toilet paper and paper towels was supplied and upon running out I was informed that none was available on site that it was like "home away from home and when you run out you have to go get some" and told I was welcome to go to 7-11 store located just down the street which is what I did.
“Great Place To Stay”
I had read the reviews on here prior to making my reservation and I'll say that I was quite pleased by the place. If a beach view isn't important and you'd like a really nice clean place to stay, this is the hotel for you. Our room was beautiful! We stayed in a 2 bedroom and we had plenty of space and a very nice enclosed patio. A big plus was the gas grills they provide and the beach toys for the kids. It's pretty much a home away from home! The walk to the beach was quick and easy. Just like the other reviews, you must bring your own beach towels. They have an ample amount of towels for showering though. They can nickel and dime you for extra rolls of toilet paper, etc. But if you plan on staying a few days to a couple weeks, you'd save more by cooking dinner in their kitchen than going to eat at a restaurant everyday! My family and I are planning on staying there again very soon! We loved it!
“Better than expected”
I booked a 1BR condo b/c it was right next to the Salt Rock Grille, where we made dinner reservations for a late Mother's Day celebration. The unit was nicer than expected, with granite counters, very clean and spacious. With front & back entrances, it had a cottage feel to it. The pool was clean and warm with a nice view of the intercoastal waterway. I prefer a king bed, but they only had queen. Do bring your own pool towel since none are provided. The ONLY undesirable aspect was lack of privacy in the bedroom - the french doors are really nice, but need shades or curtains. This place is across the street from the beach, and played a part in a really great weekend.
