“Pleasantly surprised”

Room was clean with a small kitchen and two rooms plus bathroom. Right on the beach. Staff was helpful. Will be returning.

“Good Location”

The hotel is handily placed having great access to the beach and within walking distance of good restaurants .ie Skidders,Crabby Bills & Village Inn. The facilities were satisfactory .

“St Pete Beach Hotel- if it is gray where you are, go now!”

Hotel was well maintained, grounds showed care, pools were blue, everything from tennis courts above parking garage to table tennis paddles were in good working order. Rooms were re-freshed recently, all needed things were in the kitchen, wine opener to OJ pitcher. Road out front was under construction, but rooms are well back from noise. Sidewalks along street are narrow and make walking irksome. The Beach is glorious, well groomed, clean and just wonderful at sunset. Staff was nice even when they could not always fix the problem. Folks seemed to be working hard and seemed smart. Front desk folks were a hoot.

Area recommendations

New Dali museum is much more intelligent than old one was; small but focused exhibition space. Enter through the gift shop, exit through the gift shop. No surrealist food at the snack bar. This is better than good.

“Great location, will continue to return.”

We have been coming here for nearly ten years which shows how much we like it. Renovations and maintenance are ongoing and the location is excellent. The only improvement I could suggest would be some kind of loyalty scheme, there is no acknowledgement of us as returning guests, not even an "hello again" on checking in or e-mail newsletter/welcome back message on rebooking, on a purely personal level maybe even a free upgrade after a few years would be nice.......All the time the rates stay competitive we will return.

“Enjoyable Hotel”

This was our second stay at this resort in 3 months. We like the location and the hotel and what it has to offer. close to beach, two pools,and many more. the only thing I would suggest is that they start updating thier rooms decor. They do keep the grounds very clean and neat. I would go back again.

“I wish I could have stayed even longer.”

This was exactly what I wanted, right on the beach and close to everything near the resort towns. I will definately plan to stay longer next time, and maybe bring my own pillow (theirs are a little too soft for my taste) :). If you are looking for a 5-STAR location then this may not be your "cup of tea" but if you need a clean place to crash, on the beach, and not that's close to local hot spots. then Alden should be on your top five list. The one thing I do wish they has would be more parking closer to the rooms. One night I believe we were overrun by locals and the lot was full, so we had to park in the front parking lot about 50 yards from the roooms. Still, I will stay again as long as the price is right of course!

I would recommend all of the neighborhoods, because they each have their own unique offerings. (Gulfport, ST. Pertersburg, Madeira Bch, Clearwater, etc.)

“not impressed”

The hotel is very loud; cleaning services start pushing very loud carts around the hallways at 7am. Every time someone flushes the toilet or takes a shower you can hear the water running in the pipes. The television has a very confusing menu.

“Very good beach hotel”

When to go

I like going in the week as it's not as packed and the Hotels price are less.
