“served it's purpose but...”
The hotel was adequate. It is an older property that was being worked on while we stayed there. I understand that they have to work on some time but not the best situation for the guests. I can't complain about the room size and layout. We had a two bedroom suite, with two bathrooms and a kitchen. All the rooms were big and kitchen was great. The hotel (room and public area) were mostly clean but well worn. The beach and pool area were pretty cool with great proximity to the bar and restaurant. In total, the hotel was reasonable with regards to price and I would come back if I chose to stay in the Simpson Bay area again. Although I think there are nicer newer props, they would not be as reasonable as what we paid for the suite.
“Atrium”
Nice little hotel, but rooms not very clean. Had reserved a 2BR unit & instead received 2 rooms with a foyer. They called this a 2BR lockout.. Welcome receoption held in the very cramped front entrance. Patio furniture was dirty & rusty. Pull-out couch needed to be replaced. Rats were seen in the parking garage.
“Family Vacation”
This hotel is wonderful. I can see where people who have not visited the islands might not like it. Everything on Saint Marteen is done at a different pace, when you have visited a couple of times you will understand. We had a 2 bedroom suite with 2 balconies overlooking the lagoon side. the beds were great as was the maid service. We were there with our daughter family and her 4 month old baby. We had a great time could walk to the dive shop and lots of restaurants. Brand new grocery store next door had great fruits and vegetables fairly priced. beach is very calm compared to some on the island. I would definetly reccomend staying here as you are close to everything in Simpson bay.
“Pleasant Stays”
I frequently stay at this facility. It is a friendly and safe environment away from home for me. It has the amenities family and friends enjoy when they accompany me on business travel.
“Would stay here again for sure.”
Very impressed with all the amenities provided in the rooms as well as security. Great having the laundry facilities and would have travelled much lighter if I had known this before. Would have preferred having local food at the little cafe in the lobby. Front desk assistance in such a patient and pleasant manner was much appreciated. I would definitely stay there again.
“not impressed”
the hotel is small and old. needs update, no restaurant or activities
“Nice Value for the Price”
Overall I was very pleased with the Atrium. For the price I paid I was very satisfied. The room was very spacious and had a full kitchen, which was a nice plus. The only negatives were that the light in the bedroom wasn't working when we checked in and that there really wasn't any cold water - the water out of the tap was room temperature at best. That wouldn't have been a big deal except I ended up with sunstroke and needed lots of cold water to address the situation. Thankfully the fridge had an ice-maker built in. Other than those minor two things, the Atrium was a great experience. There is a beach at the hotel but I recommend renting a car and checking out some of the nicer beaches on the island.
“We will not choose again”
It's a relatively old hotel. Surronding area was not so good for us. If we have a chance to visit St. Martin again, we will choose a different hotel, probably in French side.
“Bad Situation”
We booked a two bedroom suite for 9 nights and got a call the night before flying out that they didn't have room for us. I booked two months earlier. They found other "comparable accomodations" for us, which were suboptimal. We ended up in a jr. suite in another hotel, with only a refrigerator. Very disappointing, since I specifically wanted to stay in the Atrium location.
“Hotel mit grossen Zimmern”
