This small hotel is a gem! We spent 10 days at The Marquis in a large well appointed room with a spectacular view of the bay at Ance Marcel from our terrace. The staff was unfailingly professional and friendly. The service was first rate. If you are looking for a first rate hotel that is a bit off the beaten track, this is the place for you.
Overall this was a very satisfying stay. The staff was friendly and the facilities were great. One or two small service glitches (50 minutes to wait for ice) didn't detract from a very nice experience. Our junior suite was virtually on the beach and was perfect for us. Room was large, spacious, bright and clean. The little kitchenette was a great part of the room and allowed us to have breakfast, snacks, drinks etc. in our room or the very nice patio.
Fabulous family getaway for 5 of us. Direct flights, rented an SUV for the week which is recommended for getting to/from airport & excursions & dinners in Grand Case. While still in transition the entire staff is very accommodating. The concierge, Claudette, was a tremendous help with booking our snorkel tour with Captain Alan and dinner recommendations. The true gem is the privacy and beauty of Anse Marcel, from the gardens, the mountains, the pool, spa, beach and charming people. This is a memorable spot to return to time and again.
The hotel is well situated, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the beach is walking distance away, so is the Blue Mall. There is some need of renovation but this does not affect the overall satisfaction of the stay.
We booked this resort because we had seen footage of Maho Beach on the Discovery Channel and put it on our bucket list. We were not disappointed. The hotel is a wonderful place to spend a vacation. Our plane landed at 2:00 and by 2:30, we were on the beach. Check in was a breeze and the front desk agent gave us a wonderful room way up on the 9th floor. The room was very clean, the air conditioning worked well, the refrigerator in the room was stocked with drinks (replenished every day) and the bathroom had lots of clean towels and amenities. The balcony had table and chairs to watch the planes coming in. The resort is undergoing construction, but it does not impact guests, as the work is on a building behind the resort. The grounds are beautiful with tropical flowers, palm trees and winding paths. We loved the casual dining. Both the Palms Grill and the Ocean Terrace had wonderful service and awesome open air sea views. Food selections were good every day. Breakfast contained eggs (any way), omelets, pancakes, french toast, breakfast potatoes, beans, cold cuts, breads and muffins, and fresh fruit. Every day. Lunch also offered tasty selections each day with lots of salads and grilled options. Dinner each day had a different preparation of fish, pork, chicken and beef. There were plenty of salads and side dishes to choose from. Desserts were fresh and tasty. There is also a pub on the property which fellow guests rated well, but we really
Flamingo Beach Resort was absolutely perfect. All the staff and management went out of their way everyday to make sure that all of our needs were meet. We were greeted every moment with a smile, lots of energy and laughter. The hotel shuttle from property to property was very helpful too.
I would definitely recommend Flamingo Beach Resort to family and friends and I hope to be back next year to visit again.

The Holland House Beach Hotel is conveniently located in the central shopping area of Philipsburg and it is also on the beach. I recommend getting a room with beach view. The hotel has a very nice restaurant and bar.
The staff is very friendly. I particularly appreciated the help of Luisanny, who works at the front desk in the afternoons and evenings. She went out of her way to help me plan things to do and in many other ways was very helpful. I was traveling alone and she was a Godsend. Thank you Luisanny!
