“The Landings-a wonderful experience”
This place is great for people who appreciate luxurious rooms, beautiful beaches, and a laid back, non intrusive atmosphere. The staff is extremely accommodating but this is not an all inclusive type atmosphere where waiters are on the beach offering drinks etc. It is more of a high end condo style vacation experience. The rooms themselves are comparable to a 5 star hotel. We felt safe due to the staff/security presence on the resort. We enjoyed our excursions such as visiting a plantation and botanical gardens, the volcano and taking a katamaran to view the Pitons. We also appreciated the activities offered at the resort for no extra costs such as sailing, kayaks, live music, a shuttle to the nearby town and snorkeling. My only complaint about the fantastic experience was the repetitive nature of the restaurants menu. They serve the same meals for lunch and dinner and the menu was the same for our entire stay, even the room service menu was the same. Overall I would highly recommend the Landings and would love to visit again soon!
“Does what it says on the tin”
Modern, clean efficient hotel. very helpful concierge service. Soemthing a touch soulless about it though and some of the service in the beachside restaurant was not quite up to the standard you would expect from a hotel in this cost and quality bracket. Smart comfortable well maintained rooms with good kitchen faciilties. Nice view to beach and Pigeon Island in the ocean view apartments. Some building work going on a sthey extend the hotel by building new apartment blocks. No noise or dust issue but the building site detracts a bit from the atmosphere. Acceptable restaurants although not what you would call exciting. Feels slightly jammed into its site - not much space around the marins.
“I would go back, but I would I would be wary. Lots of small problems.”
The hotel was beautiful. The staff was very attentive. However, there were many, many small problems. We enjoyed ourselves, but we did not like having to complain so much on a vacation.
“Service was very slow, food OK but not great.”
The Landings as a place to vacation is very nice. A 1.5 hour taxy ride to and from the resort is a bit long. Our elevator was broken for 3 days even though the front desk claimed each day it would be fixed. For an theoretical 5 star resort the service was slow and food OK but not close to Four Season or Ritz Carlton quality.
“Extremely happy with the Landings”
The units are very spacious with a well appointed kitchen and comfortable beds. It was easy to sit out on the outdoor patio/veranda and relax. The A/C worked extremely well. Great tennis courts (lighted). The beach area in front of the hotel was clean, well organized (plenty of chaises/umbrellas for all) and free of vendors. The hotel made it easy to use the hobie and kayaks. The fitness center was well equipped with cardio machines and weight machines. Service was great. The staff was always friendly and attentive and the staff was quick to meet your needs. Although there were construction going on, we did not hear it at all. We were glad we had a rental car to get around (although I know that they had a shuttle that went into town). Pidgeon Island is walking distance from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
“Will be back!!!”
We were in a room with a Harbor view, patio with jacuzzi, The overall hotel is beautiful and continuing to expand , grounds were well cared for and maintained, rooms were very spacious, comfortable, and kitchen was well stocked with sufficient utensils, dishes, glasses, and modern appliances. The staff was professional yet friendly, food at Beach Bar was very good, room service was top notch. Special acknowledgement to entire front desk staff (i.e. natasha, Darilynn),and to Descart, Mr. Joseph, Gizelle, philomina, and Kisha, they all deserve special acknowledgement for their efforts to make our stay a wonderful experience.
“Can't wait to go back”
