“very good value for money”
excellent location. small hotel. pool never crowded. beach very close. nearest bar and resturant spinnakers was in our opinion the best in rodney bay area (the food was fantastic) would only stay at ginger lily if i returned to st lucia. room service here was basic but adequate. room size very good. more than enough room for the 3 of us staying. small kitchen area with sink, fridge, kettle and coffee maker a welcome bonus. loved it overall.
“"Would definitely stay again"”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Ginger Lilly, this hotel is in the perfect location (walk to all) people are super nice & friendly. We loved the Ginger Lilly driver Manue (Emmanuel) what a sweetheart! Ginger Lilly is not a fancy hotel but it's clean, comfortable, and very relaxing atmosphere.
“Safe, and Enchanting, a Secret Garden Hotel.”
This is a beautiful hotel with very courteous staff. It is more picturesque than the advertisements. The beach access is right across the street. Our room was beautiful with a large bedroom and sunken living-room/kitchen just off of it with a private outdoor sitting area with a dinning table for 6. Front and back entrances. All rooms have private accesses no big hallways. Lovely pool and gardens. No safety issues as they have a night guard who sits out front all night and patrols the grounds every 15-20 mins, the hotel is also completely gated and the police station is right across the street so anyone will feel safe even if they tend not to be when traveling. We will definitely stay hear again with this great location and fantastic hotel.
“Beware of mosquitos”
The staff of the Ginger Lily are wonderful, and location is great. We LOVED that this hotel is a small boutique hotel. We stayed in an Executive Suite for 8 nights. We are not normally difficult customers, but I must report the mosquito problem in our room (Room #10 on the first floor). Despite constantly having the shutters closed along with screens, every night our 2 year old daughter was bitten very badly by mosquitos during her sleep. There must have been unseen holes in the screens. Not sure how it happened, but we were disappointed about the mosquito problem. The pool could have been cleaned & maintained more consistently, as it was green every day except one. There was no staff at the "restaurant", unless you ask someone at the front receptionist desk to help you. The room's bed was extremely soft, like a sink hole in the middle. I guess that we did not realize that small boutique meant sacraficing quality of amenities. If you don't suffer from susceptibility to mosquitos, and you don't care to eat promptly, swim in a clean pool or sleep on a moderately firm mattress, then this is a great place for you.
“Great loacation and overall value.”
Cross the street and walk through the public parking lot and you are on the beach. Hotel is within walking distance to all restaurants and bars. Nice little pool.
“Nice Hotel in Rodney Bay”
The hotel is in a good area - further away from the commotion of Rodney Bay but close enough to walk to it. Lots of great restaurants surrounding the hotel and the beach is right across the street. The pool was out of commission our entire stay, so that was a bummer. Hotel staff was nice, but not very friendly.
“Cozy and nice !”
We got there after 10 pm so we got to the room and went to sleep. The room was a bit noisy we discover in the morning but we could change it to upstairs room with a balcony and hammock - and it was great ! The area was quiet, plenty of restaurants with our prefered one Spinnakers on the beach !
“Great value, great locaion”
The staff was very friendly. Great location to walk around Rodney Bay.
“This hotel really does live up to its reputation”
We have just returned from a 2-week stay at the Ginger Lily. It is difficult to add to the many complimentary reviews of the hotel. Although initially surprised how small the grounds are, their tranquil beauty soon compensated for this. Our superior deluxe room was large, airy, light and well appointed. You could see the Caribbean Sea through the rooftops. Our daughter fell in love with the hotel cat and it turned out to be a constant companion during lazy days spent relaxing around the swimming pool. The hotel is brilliantly placed for access to a great beach where Happy Hour at Spinnakers as the sun goes down is a photo opportunity an memory to warm the heart during winter months. Buzz, the nearest restaurant, provides excellent service and good quality food. Delirius is also worth a visit. Walk to Key Largo for lunch. The hotel will recommend 'Mano' for airport transfers and a personalised island tour. He is a nice guy and we would recommend using his services. One of the highlights of each day was the artistry of the maid in using towels and flowers from the garden to create a variety of characters. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Ginger Lily.
“Pretty much as expected”
We had read many reviews about the Ginger Lily and just about everyone was happy with it. We were too. A short walk to Reduit Beach & 2 beach bars/restaurants with fantastic 2 for 1 happy hours. Mango Dacquiris were fantastic. Our complaint was that the a/c had trouble keeping up because there are no windows, only screens with shutters. We shut the bathroom to keep the a/c in the bedroom but then it was too hot in the bathroom. Of course we're the ones who went in July. We ate a the hotel restaurant once for breakfast it was just fine. The bar is a joke though. They didn't have Coconut Rum or Spiced Rum or Soda and the girl had to come from the front desk to make the drink. We were the only ones there so of course it was more fun to go to the beach bar. It was quiet, comfortable and convenient. A good buy.
