“Cotton Bay is a slice of paradise”
This place was absolutely amazing. Very upscale and welcoming with excellent staff, facilities, and food. The beach bar features great food served close enough to the Atlantic to toss your silverware in the ocean. My wife and I rarely found occasion to leave the property. The king bed mattresses would be my only complaint, being a little hard and featuring a few noticeable springs, but aside from that I can't say a single bad word about our accommodations there. The gym and spa are also very nice, and we walked around the lovely main pool but never used it. The breeze here keeps the temperature on the beach nice and comfortable but the water can seem a little chilly at times - though never such that you wouldn't take a dip in the beautiful ocean. The is a ton of great hiking adjacent to the hotel thanks to a development that never made it very far. My wife and I hiked about 30 minutes to a secluded beach where we were alone with the crabs. Piano Piano is also excellent, very upscale and elegant but an easy place to relax.
“Sandra”
On arriving at St Lucia airport we then found out we had a 2 hour transfer to the hotel ! Which Expedia failed to tell us about ! So we were exhausted by the time we arrived. The hotel is very different from any 5 Star or middle east experience but its a very natural place with a nice pool & beach. Good for relaxing but not much to do. The Deli onsite is very expensive and not very well stocked. The kids club was lovely and very friendly. However I am used to more security at kids club and found that one time I picked my daughter up the staff were in another room & she was alone. The villas are all beautiful places. The beach restaurant is a lovely place to eat and the tropical weather is very refreshing ! The spa was very basic. The massages were ok. Overall a nice relaxing back to nature place but a bit boring compared to the big chain hotels that offer so much more.
“Would Do It Again!”
We spent a wonderful week in St. Lucia (July 17-July 24, 2010). We travel with friends (another couple) and we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom townhouse -- that was very much appreciated. We had more than enough room to spread out. The kitchen was awesome and we prepared several meals in the unit. We really like mixing in with the local population and going to the grocery store as well as shopping for souvenirs. Loved the IGA as well as other small grocery stores. Love Caribbean produce. We enjoyed the plunge pool as well as the resort pool. The staff was very accommodating especially Abdullah and Jason. This property was a bit out of the way but located in a very upscale area of he island. Taxis to Rodney Bay and Castries can be a bit expensive but we were on vacation -- so we splurged a little. The only negative I would like to mention is that screens should be placed on all sliding doors in the unit. That way, one can catch that wonderful Caribbean breeze without being bothered by mosquitoes or lizards. That being said, I would recommend this property and we would definitely stay there again. Oh, by the way, did i mention the work out room--very nice! Hope to visit St. Lucia again in the near future. The people were wonderful!!
“A slice of paradise”
Cotton Bay looks just like the pictures you see of beautiful Caribbean resorts. We had three balconies to enjoy. The pool was wonderful and huge. If we needed anything, our needs were met immediately. The resort is off the beaten path, but that was actually what we were looking for. It is only five minutes into Rodney Bay with all the restaurants and only 15 minutes into Castries. It has a wonderful spa and a nice little shop to pick up grocery items. The restuarants have great food and great service. We loved it! Tip: If you want scenic beauty, friendly people, and quiet isolation, St Lucia is definitely the place to go. If you are looking for large, easilty accepable beaches, this is not your island.
“Can't wait to go back this time with family”
Relaxed very much in the quiteness of its location away from the hustle and bustle of Rodney Bay but again not far from the cricket stadium.

“remote but very nice”
Overall, a very positive experience in an environment extremely conducive to rest and relaxation. Nice accomodations, nice pool, private beach, helpful and courteous staff. We only ate at one on-site restaurant, by the beach, and found the food very good even though the menu was somewhat limited. If there is a negative to Cotton Bay Village Resort, it is its location. It is not especially close to anything else....it's almost a one and one-half hour drive from the airport.
“Very nice!”
While we did not rezlize our resort was on the opposite side of the island from the airport and the most popular attractions when we made our plans, the accomodations and service were beyond excellent and we came to appreciate our remoteness. Traveling across the island to sight-see actually allowed us to see more of the native villages and beautiful vistas than we would have had we stayed nearby. That said, nothing is really very far. The resort catered to our every need from taxi arrangements to dinner reservations and recommendations. We NEVER ran into an unhappy employee.......EVERYONE was beyond gracious. The suites were BEAUTIFUL. If we had not wanted to sight see, we would have enjoyed just staying at the resort and had a very relaxing vacation in luxury!
“Perfect for young families”
Apart from the high prices charged at the restaurant and the spa (which sadly seems to be reflective of the whole of St Lucia) we had nothing but praise for Cotton Bay. Our apartment was very well appointed and being right next to the pool was perfect with a young baby. The pool area is lovely, though it could do with a bit more shade. The whole place had a really friendly atmosphere. Beds were very comfortable. Beach restaurant was very nice and although it was a little slow to get food at lunchtime as we were providing our own food for the baby that didn't really bother us. It's all really well set up for kids - lots of highchairs, great kids club, great babysitting, cots and baby baths. We had a really great time.
“Enjoyed our stay, may return after we have been to other destinations.”
Very good for adults with children. Staff were friendly and seemed interested in talking with you. Facilities could do with some updating. Beginning to show signs of wear and tear. Could do with some shade on the beach plus the watersports are very limited. I think you need a car to do exactly what you want. Taxies are fine but will limit you. Dont hire until you get to the island and be prepared to haggle! Food in the Beach Bar and Piano Piano are excellent. We found the restaurants on the island expensive for a fairly average meal. Steak is very good!
