This resort offers 60 guestrooms in four, three-story pastel-turquoise buildings with outside staircases (no elevators). All rooms feature furnished balconies or patios with views of the Caribbean Sea or Timothy Hill, a steep green slope behind the resort. Tropical decor includes tile floors, pastel-colored walls, rattan and wicker furniture, and prints by well-known Kittitian artist Kate Spencer.

Sunset Café - Casual restaurant and bar with open-air seating under white-wood ceiling and pink-and-turquoise canopies. American breakfast. Lunch choices include sandwiches, tuna and chips, burgers, and West Indian dishes such as curried chicken, fish pot, and roti. Dinner selections include fish soup, fish cakes, steak, pasta pork almondine, grilled fish, barbecue ribs, and jerk chicken.

“relaxed and friendly”

The staff were really friendly & helpful. We had a large room with a balcony - it's definatley worth paying more for an ocean view as the sunsets are amazing. it's not the ritz, but it's a really lovely place to relax and is value for money. we liked the relaxed laid back atmosphere of the hotel. the beach at frigate bay is on the caribbean side so is calmer and easier to swim in than the beach on the atlantic side - so you'll find a lot of the other hotel guests walking down to this beach for swimming and for the bars/resturants. the salt lagoon opposite is teaming with wildlife - so it's worth taking some binoculars if you are interested. wild monkeys roam around and are great to spot if you are lucky. I'd recommend a trip to nevis by ferry. look out for flying fish on the way over! the sunshine bar/resturant is great.the staff arranged a late check out for us. the airport is about 10 mins away so it's easy to get to. visit soon before they finish building the new resort which could take away some of the charm of this place. remember you have to pay 22$ tax to leave the island
