“Outstanding Staff!”

I had never stayed at a Super 8 before and really didn't know what to expect, so I went in with low expectations. But I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and it was very convenient to get to from the airport. However the people I was most pleased with were the staff. Very friendly and very helpful. I've always known Newfoundlanders to be friendly people and none of the staff dissapointed. The other plus was a huge waterslide at the pool, which was a huge hit with my two boys. I would gladly stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it.

“good value”

We found the hotel reasonably well looked after. The staff were helpful most of the time. The lift was noisy, with some part vibrating while moving. The breakfast was functional, but no more. The area around the lift had bits of dust and paper bits days after first noticed. An important point: the hotel phone in my room had poor sound quality and often the conversation with the EXP clerks was difficult. Can you suggest Super 8 of St. John's to upgrade their room phone ?

“Total disappointment”

Thin walls, noisy, uncomfortable beds, old, cluttered, old hvac system that did not work well, tacky. I would NEVER, EVER stay here again. Pool is for kids only...looks nicer in photo than it is in person. Did not bother for the breakfast. Uninviting. Inconvenient location. This motel needs a complete overhaul.

“Extremely satisfied stay from a seasoned business travellers' perspective”

This hotel met my expectations in all respects. The location which is close to the new ring road in St. John's made it easy to get to all my destinations. A definite destination on my next visit to St. John's.

“Vert noisy”

There was a school track meet in the city and there were quite a few school kids in the hotel. They were not well supervised as they were running the halls until late. This wasn't really the hotel's fault but they should keep checking an eye on this to ensure it is a comfortable stay for all guests.

“Great Place to Stay.”

Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and quiet. I slept like a log because there was no noise at night. The absolute best part of this establishment was its housecleaning staff. They were polite, efficient, and kept the place immaculately. I would definitely stay there again.

“It was fine”

The best parts were the pool with waterslide that kept our kids occupied each afternoon. The continental breakfast was good; however, not enough space for guests to sit and eat and there were line-ups. Even though the hotel is new, the rooms and hallways had quite a musty smell. Bring your own soap/shampoo/hairdryer - what is provided was very inadequate. I noted on the first day that the hairdryer only worked for a few seconds and would then die - this was never taken care of. But for the price - it was adequate.
