We stayed here for a couple of nights on a recent tour of the West Country. The property is in the charming village of Lelant, where we enjoyed lovely walks along the coast. Our accommodation was in the Old Laundry which is the smaller option but ideal for a couple. Sue is a charming hostess and very knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast is cooked to order, plentiful and taken in the main house, which is charming and full of artworks and other interesting bits and bobs! The other accommodation is larger, over two floors, we had the opportunity to look at it and it is stunning. Everything is based around a charming little courtyard with lovely planting and pottery (Adrian runs his pottery business from the site). Great local pub opposite and another pub a short walk away, meals available at both.
The building and ground are fantastic. The proximity to St Ives was also a plus. However the room was very small and stuffy. It has been really hot and even though the outdoor temperature had cooled the room remained very hot. The window did not open properly so it was hard to let air in. I also found the room quite small for the calibre of property, for two people there was bearly room to open a large suitcase on the floor. They would benefit by taking out some of the furniture like the extra chair. The service in the reception and restaurant were excellent.

Stayed for 2 nights, made very welcome. Room comfortable and clean, excellent breakfast.
The hotel is at the end of a quiet road, front rooms of the hotel having sea views.
Short walk to the train station, which takes the most scenic route into St Ives. The beach is only a 5 minute walk down the hill.
Would be very happy to stay there again.

This is a small guesthouse of great charm and character with a high level of service provided in person by the proprietor Christopher. I was there for a week and enjoyed a comfortable and care-free stay.
Usually when your sat nav directs you down a narrow lane you become very suspicious! In this case the sat nav was correct and the hotel lies tucked away round the corner but literally 25 meters from the beach. The hotel has been updated very sympathetically form its former Victorian glory. The decor and furnishings were tasteful and pleasing to the eye. The receptionist was both polite but informally friendly and helpful. We chose a room without a sea view but with a small balcony; we only stayed one night and with uncertain weather, we didn't want to pay the extra. The room was compact, as was the en suite shower room, but the bed was very comfortable. For the evening meal, no hot food. but he hotel serve cold platters to order. This was no problem as the centre of St Ives Quay was minutes walk away, along the sea front and it had a wide choice of pubs and restaurants. The full Cornish breakfast was amazing, bacon and sausage being organic and locally sourced. Lovely flavours! Even the brown sauce was organic!
In summary, a very well and tastefully appointed hotel with pleasant, friendly and helpful staff
