Spent four nights at Royal Yacht. Wanted to see as much of the island as possible so location to the bus station and its excellent services enabled this. Staff throughout the hotel were excellent. Gold twin room on 5th floor was very good, not much of a view but importantly very quiet. Breakfast was excellent whatever your needs and the staff were attentive, pleasant and courteous.
A wonderful holiday ruined by waking up at 7 am to construction work going on at the side of this hotel. Everything about the hotel was very good, my room was very comfortable but the works noise ruined my well earned rest, a pity. I would re-visit this hotel but would request another room than 204
this hotel is extremely well run by every member of staff, all of whom are cheerful, helpful and polite
The comfort in every area is of a high quality ,The food is excellent and presented beautifully.
Although the hotel stands high above St Helier in a very nice area it is at least a 15 minute walk into town where the shops, station, harbour/port are we would not fault anything .The hotel does run a shuttle bus service at least 6 times daily but there is also a local bus serving the area (the liberty bus)
"Nice Hotel in centre of town, close to shops, etc"
Booked this hotel as it was close to shops, pubs and restaurants. However St Helier is a very busy town with a vibrant financial and professional quarter, shops etc. Didn't realise it was so big, so would possibly have stayed out in one of the smaller locations. However, hotel is excellent if you want to stay in the centre of the town. Its clean , nice rooms and friendly staff. The only drawback is the very small car park up a very narrow ramp. If you have a hire car you should consider the excess protection as its very easy to scrape your car going in or out.
Enjoyed staying but couldn't get into the main restaurant for evening meal on both evenings of our stay, was told by maitre de you need to book 4 days ahead but we were only there for the weekend.1 night ate in cafe bar : limited menu next night just ate outside of the hotel not really our plan
Lovely Boutique hotel with friendly helpful staff. Food was good although only had breakfast during my stay but the restaurant was always busy in the evenings. Very small car park and if staying in a busy time would be a real problem as not other street parking around the area for a good mile.
Comparing it to other hotels I have stayed at on the island found it quite expensive for the facilities offered,
Return visit to this very nice hotel, very comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff, there was nothing too much trouble for them, old coach house, full of character, buffet breakfast with various choices, Dorans bistro first class.
Would certainly book again when returning to Jersey
