"Great Hotel Outside of Portland"
We stayed here on a whim, just looking for easy access to leave the city and make a flight at Sea-Tac. First impression, the hotel's outside and inside could use some updating, has an older look and feel. I would say this is it's only negative. The hotel staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Hotel room had a mini seating area, the toilet and shower were together, and the sink was outside in the living area, can be considered odd, didn't bother us though. Low shower head, but great water pressure. Had actual hand soap! Room it's self was very clean and modern, did not feel outdated.
Every morning you received a free breakfast, nothing extravagant, but definitely a step up from the standard cold continental breakfast, and it's free! Every afternoon they had a tray of cookies out at the check in desk. Every night you received 2 free drinks at the bar! How nice! SO many gimmes.
They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere in a 5 mile radius. This includes a stop on the MAX (Portland's rail system), and is then a short 15 minute ride for $2.50 (or $5 for all day) into the city. The location was extremely convenient for us, like I said a short trip into Portland, but also a short drive to the scenic waterfalls on historic 30. About 30 minutes. Also, lots of restaurants around, and shopping centers.
Had an indoor pool and weight room. We didn't use either of these but both looked nice. Though we were only here for 2 days, it was wonderful and we would definitely stay again.
