This was my first stay at this resort but it won't be my last. My husband and I had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly especially Desilyn who managed the restaurant and LynDonna and Terry who are the bartenders. They truly made us feel welcomed and at home. The beach is awesome and the food was great. They managed to incorporate local cuisine in almost every meal. We met other vacationers and after a while we felt like a little family. We were very saddened to leave and felt like we were leaving friends and family. I read many reviews regarding this resort prior to going and most were fair but some were misleading. Let me tell you, if you visit this jewel in the sun, you will have a wonderful, relaxing vacation - and you will never forget it.
The hotel is right on the BBC which is a beautiful beach which doesn't get crowded. The hotel grounds are well kept and the rooms are extremely clean and have a daily clean.
All the staff at the hotel including the management are very friendly and helpful.
I would highly recommend this hotel to all age groups.
From the moment our family arrived for our one week vacation, the Mt Cinnamon staff made our vacation memorable. The staff was warm and welcoming, always available to help, but not intrusive. The rooms were a wonderful surprise: colorfully decorated, very comfortable beds (including the queen-sized sofa bed), plenty of room for two adults and two pre-teens, excellent air conditioning, modern appliances, and breathtaking balcony views. Short walk to the beautiful beach along a flowering tree-lined path. Food at the beach cabana and the restaurant was excellent. Small, but well-equipped workout facility (with beautiful view), was an added bonus.

Stayed just the one night but should have been longer. Very welcoming hotel, run by the owners. Lovely big and clean rooms - my bathroom was cleaner and better than the all inclusive I was in the night before. Nice restaurants nearby, very near the airport.
We had such an enjoyable time at our last visit in 2012 that we came back in July 2014 and it was even better than we had remembered. Our (Westside) suite was spacious, well equipped and had lovely views. The suites are set well apart from each other across stunning gardens.

The hotel is undergoing some important renovations: they are redoing some of the rooms and are optimizing the beach space. Apparently, they are adding a bar and a SPA/wellness center as well. Despite the work in progress, the hotel was fantastic. Its restaurant was delicious and the staff incredibly helpful, welcoming, and polite. The infinity pool is worth the trip, as it guarantees stunning views. The location is just perfect, as the hotel oversees Mount Hartman Bay from an isthmus: you wake up to a great view every morning. The sea is only a few steps away as well, even though it's nothing special if compared to the rest of the island. The hotel provides great Taxi service (ask for Dave) to go about the island - my personal suggestion is to save some time everyday to spend at the hotel though.
It is a very nice , well kept resort. The room is cleaned in the morning, and later in the evening they come by to exchange your wet beach towels with clean dry ones. A nice touch is that they don't hesitate to give you extra towels, some places I have stayed, they are very obsessive about giving you extra ones, not the case here. The food is top notch with lots of options, and if you do the all inclusive , be prepared to gain a lot of weight if you are the type that wants to get "the most out of it". I don't normally eat fish for a variety of reasons, but I decided to try a couple of dishes. Marlin and Swordfish, and I can't imagine how it could have been prepared better. At dinner, they are quick to refill your wine glass, but not pushy. No pressure to get out of the restaurants once you are finished eating and just chatting. Overall a very nice quiet hotel. If you are looking for a lively party place , then this isn't your place, although there are nearby places to go if that suits you.
Maca Bana is a wonderful boutique resort. They are about 8 minutes from the airport and yet you do not hear airplanes constantly flying over you. If you are looking for warm weather, a white sandy beach, a breath-taking view and solitude, then Maca Bana is for you. If you enjoy snorkeling, then Magazine beach is the place you want to be. Our stay was quite enjoyable. The staff is warm and friendly and if you need anything, all you need to do is ask. The onsite restaurant, The Aquarium, is situated right off Magazine beach, so you can dine and enjoy the lovely ambiance as you listen to the ocean waves.
They do not have a gym at t he moment (however, one will be available in the not so distant future). Nor do they have a spa or a large pool. There is a bit of a climb from the base of the property to the villas; that alone can be a daily workout. A walk on the beach or a swim in the ocean can add to your daily workout. If you feel like you are in the mood for spa services, all you need to do is ask and they will be happy to have someone come to you. The pool they have is small to medium sized, however clean and serene.
This trip was booked last minute and when my husband and I arrived, even though it was 7:00am, we were able to check in. Rooms are very comfortable, and we were able to control our own AC unit. The purpose of this trip was to celebrate our honeymoon and my husband and I were speaking to the Checkin agent, Carol, who was extremely helpful and friendly, we advised the purpose of our trip and after arriving back to the hotel later on in the day, we were welcomed with roses on the bed, which was beautiful! Pool and bar/breakfast area was comfortable and the very amazing!!! Grounds were clean and the staff were welcoming and always friendly
