“great stay at the wyndham”
Very convenient and clean hotel. Would recommend to anyone.
“Nice overall, couple of minor quibbles”
We had a great 3-day stay overall. Staff was nice and friendly-ish, and I had the quickest check-in I've ever had. Good bed, sizable room, microwave and fridge were convenient. It had a window-A/C, but it was a modern one and we never noticed it. Very clean. Bath was nice and a good size. Hot breakfast (sausage, ham, eggs, waffle-maker, bagels) was a nice touch. Our one major problem was the shower head. With everything else being great in the room, the awful shower pressure just stood out as SO bad. Just a sprinkle at best. It doubled our time taking showers, as you can only just stand there and wait for enough water to sprinkle out to rinse hair, etc. My fiancee rinsed her hair in the sink! Overall, I'd stay again, but something has to change with that shower!
“OK”
Getting into the Hotel at night was kind of tricky.. lots of traffic in the area. the Hotel was clean & staff were were helpful & friendly. The breakfast was Ok but, not what I expected after staying @ Wyndham Hotel in Charleston S.C.
“can't sleep and what's that smell”
Beds in both rooms were so bad. I didn't get more than five hours sleep in 4 days. There was a bad smell on the whole floor, frontdesk didn't care. towels were like sand paper. Room wasn't clean when we opened the door. Water was way hard. Girl at front desk to busy on cell phone. Breakfast was good.
“2011 Octoberfest”
Woman at the time of my check in was less than hospitable. She may have had a bad day. Other than her, everything was good.
“No complaints”
This Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Affordable, nice, clean, good breakfast, good location, outdoor pool and hot tub to relax after a day at the beach. We had a great labor day weekend. Will definitely go back.
“Great service , nice hotel”
Fantastic rooms and bathroom (true marble...) , very kind and professional staff. The swimming pool (with Jacuzzi) is outdoor but clean and comfortable , the staff , every day , monitoring the water quality . Very good breakfast with cookies in the afternoon .
“Well worth it!”
My wife and I stayed here for our 30th anniversary, while visiting St Augustine. We stayed in a double queen room. It is convenient to the town and outlet malls, as well as being clean and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and very nice. we will stay here again!
“Wingate by Wyndham in St. Augustine”
The Wingate by Wyndham in St. Augustine, FL was ideal for what we wanted. It was within walking distance of the Premium Outlet Mall (less than half mile, but there are no sidewalks and in July it is really hot, even for someone who lives on the west coast of FL). The free breakfast was great, had something different every day. It was also close to the major attractions and the trolley tour. Highly recommend the trolley tour to learn lots of history and not to worry about parking or parking fees. Will come back and probably stay at this hotel again.
“Lovely place to stay, but close to outlets and 95, not the beach”
We loved this hotel - very nice, very clean and pleasant staff. Breakfast was more than adequate with a variety of foods. Best thing about this place was that I had booked it for the wrong night and we missed the night. I called them and there was no problem whatsoever in taking the next night instead. They were very gracious on the phone. It is a ways out of St Augustine though and is a better location if you are traveling on 95. We ate at a Thai restauant down the street which was excellent.
