“Still have some work to do.”

On the negative side, ceiling tiles in room showed leaks, bed spreads had stains, chairs at pool were grossly molded, towels were scarce. On the plus side the continental breakfast was fine, pool itself was clean, property obviously undergoing renovations. I would give them a 1.5 star rating today.

“No Service, no water”

Room was not the cleanest but we knew we for the price we paid not to expect much. What we did expect though was running water for a shower, we got a trickle of water that would completely dry up until there was no water and then start back up either icy cold or scalding hot. We also got no maid service for three days, the first day we got back to our room and called down to let them know we had not gotten clean towels and the trash hadn't been taken out (the beds hadn't been made and nothing else cleaned either but we were okay with that) we were told we'd have to come down for clean towels as the maids were gone for the day. We decided to just wait until the maids came in the morning, which never happened. We called back down to front desk and were told someone would be sent right away. Well that never happened either and by this time the trash was piling up and I called back down just to find out where I might could take the trash to get it out of the room and was told there was no where that I was permitted to go, it was a restricted area. Not even worth the small amount of money we paid.

“Honest Review”

Hotel was ok , can't compete with the price, the only thing I would say is that even though the room was clean it had a horrible smell not sure if it was the carpet, bathroom or what, I did say something to the front desk clerk but they did nothing, location was good, theres a dennys close by but my experience was terrible..

“unkept facilities”

When I booked the hotel room I was expecting uch more due to I did it through Expedia. The room only had one towel and it seemed to be used, broken furniture, the door lock was damaged, a very bad mold odor so I had to buy a disinfectant spray. There were spots in the lining and the shower was very difficult to turn on. However when I requested a room change it was not given while the front desk employee had to go to the room herself to help in making the shower work (previously the maintenance employee tried without success). So please don't consider this building as an option- it may affect your stay in this beautiful city.

“Abandoned hotel with poor cleaning staff”

The management is blame for state of this rundown hotel. Walls & Bathtub peeling, apparent and hidden dirt. Bathroom is incredibly small. The beds are comfortable & the breakfast is very good. The front desk crew was very good... First night: #. the reservation was made for smokers, and gave us ... Non-smoking. After all the luggage into the room we noticed the error and provided us with the correct room. Next day: we went out for a walk after breakfast, and returned at 3:00 pm. The cleaning crew was finishing cleaning our room. #. Dirty table (I cleaned), no toilet paper holder (all weekend). Next day: We go out after breakfast and returned late. #. First thing we see is a bag of dirty linen against the door of an adjoining room, almost in the middle of the corridor. And stayed there for at least 12 hours. #. Towels all badly arranged, placed in the way of bathroom shelf. Table again dirty (I cleaned again). A small dead cockroach survived the cleaning staff in the bathtub this day, and was removed by me so I could bathe. Last day: Wake up very early (6:00 am). We left the room for our last breakfast, and there was the bag of dirty linen ... yet. After eating, we put the luggage in the car. In the last review, I looked down beds and below one of the beds, I found a number of things: #. empty plastic bottle, paper, and finally a chicken bone. Oh yeah ... vacuum cleaner where has nothing taking up space like shoes, handbags ... I wrote a complaint to hotel management.

All city is very pretty. The old city is gorgeous. The fort is very interesting. I really enjoyed to know this historic city, and come back to see what I could not see for lack of time. But next time we will stay in a hotel nearest the old city or within it. Because for those who are interested in purchasing outlets in the city, these hotels close to I95 and away from the historic city are ideal. But to get to know the tourist attractions, no. After all, the only place where you put the car and not charge you to stay is in hotel and when you buy a ride on the train that runs from the old city. Important tip is to use in different trips the two trains that take you to walk around the old city. They are pretty much the same way, but it has its little differences. The ride takes about 1:30 hours uninterrupted, but put off the train you can visit one attraction and then get on the next train and continue the tour. Is valid for 3 days. The train that is orange and green is the city and offers discounts on a bus that can get you free entry and pro beach museum of history of the city (which by the way we do not know). The red train is of the museum Rider's Believe it or not, and have discount if purchased with a ticket to the museum. I used this on this trip.
Dining
Lunch was very good, if you choose as you like. Many options inside and outside the historical center. Dinner in the city can not be after 9 pm. Everything closes early. This is absurd because the city is still full of people on the street, walking from one side to another. Which remains open, people were there. Only one restaurant was open after 9 pm and with much limitation on the menu. I hated my dinner that day. Still have the option of fast food ... but the option is so varied that it is sacrilegious to eat them. Unless the late night hunger. Then the option is McDonald's and Danny's.

“Wonderful Place to Stay! We are definately coming back!”

We are from Georgia and booked this hotel for 3 nights stay. I read all of the reviews of this hotel before we stayed and was a little worried about what kind of place we were going to be staying at. Let me tell you first of all: Do not always beleive everything that people say, I have found that there are some people that you just can't please not matter were they stay, it could be the Hilton and they would still have something to complain about! We had such a GREAT time that we stayed an extra night. The Hotel staff were very polite and professional!. They helped out with whatever needs we had! The breakfast was great and staff kept it full. The pool was WONDEFUL! We requested a room on the inside by the pool and we got it. The room was perfect, could not have asked for a better 4 night stay! Oh by the way someone complained about triping on the step going into the room-excuse me there is a sign that is clearly marked--they must have been Blind! My husband and I will definately be booking our next St Augustine trip with this Ramada Limited. They have a Very friendly staff of the ones we met, hands go out to Gary, Lovy, & Ryan--Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

All of St Augustine downtown--Old Jail, Old Muesum, Old Store, Ripleys Beleive it or Not, Scenic Cruise, Fountain of Youth, etc... Beaches are beautiful. Definately invest in the 3 day Trolley Tour bus and Train, it was well worth it. The Tour was amazing, save your gas and let someone else do the driving.

“Would never stay there again”

The reason we chose to stay was because it was a "Ramada" , when we arrive we saw an old hotel, the service was poor. The shower curtain's had black mold. Everytime we would try to get into the room the door would not open. There was no internet service. There was no remote for the TV. There were channels you were not able to see. There were roaches. etc....

“It was a nice change when your working on the road.”

The staff was courteous and went above and beyond to help in any way. I would have desired a bigger choice at breakfast.

“Dirty Hotel with a carefree staff”

Then again I don't expect much from a 2 star hotel. I have no problem with old stuff, just dirty stuff. The first day we noticed our feet were black. After a couple of hours, we concluded the carpet was dirty. So we got one of the towels and rubbed it against the carpet and the towels were black. We ended up using all spare towels to walk on to keep our feet clean. The shower had VERY low pressure so much to the point that it was intolerable. My phone cord had a broken jack and was filled with static. There were cobwebs on the back of the door so I guess those weren't well kept. I could barely hear guest services. One of the towels had a red stain, not sure what that was. The breakfast was nice but the staff would just be at the front desk and all guests had to constantly tell them to restock plates, syrup, etc.. It got to the point where it was just easier to go into the cabinets ourselves. The dirtyness is probably attributed to people walking to their car barefoot and tracking in dirt. We stayed in room 101. I am not picky, I stayed at the seatac inn in seattle, WA for a little less and although it was old as well, it was nice and clean.
