“Good deal for price. Hotel staff very good. Pet friendly a plus. More fruit at breakfast.”

Very clean. Good location. Staff very friendly. Pet friendly was important to us. Only minor complaint was not enough fruit on breakfast bar. Not extravagant, but good deal for the money

Getting around

When you visit St. Augustine, there are two musts. You need to ride the trolley. It is a three day pass that takes you around town. The other is the scenic cruise around the harbor. The Columbia Restaurant on St. George Street was very good. There seems to be fudge shops every block on St. George Street.

“Best for solitude and romance.”

We were looking for a quiet romantic hotel to spend our 39th wedding anniversary at and we found just that at this hotel. When visiting St. Augustine in the future this will surely be where we stay.

“Would Not Stay Here Again”

First I have say the location of the hotel is great. It's next door to the outlets, many restaurants and historic George Street all hear by.There is a complimentary self serve breakfast served every morning but the weekends are best when they bring out the hot food. They don't have many healthy options so you may want to bring along something from home. Rooms are equiped with a nice sized mini fridge and microwave so that's a nice convenience to have.There is a coffee maker with some coffee packets but the taste isn't the best, you should bring your own. The turns off....It's a "pet friendly" hotel so there are signs of wear and tear everywhere especially in the rooms. There seemed to be more pets than people during our stay. Fitness room equipment was in terrible condition in need of repair or replacement. Pest control is seriously lacking as I saw a large spider in the fitness room as well as silver fish throughout the hotel. Most of our towels were worn and ripped on the edges. The fitted sheet looked like it had been chewed on all sides. Air conditioner wasn't adjusting properly, it was either too warm or too cold so my husband and I barely slept. Our entry door had a huge gap in it letting all the hallway light and noise in so I had to get tacky and use a bath towel to stuff the gap. This also made be feel less safe in the room as the door was not secure.The dresser drawers were difficult to open and knobs were sharp to grasp. Front Desk staff was unfriendly and crass.

Area recommendations

World Golf Village, It's a lovely area with beautiful resorts. About a 15 to 20 minute drive from Historic St Augustine but well worth it. Historic St George Street is a must see and do. Many one of a kind shops, boutiques and restaurants. Most of the businesses close early so get there to shop as soon as you can.

“Great Value”

Great place to stay at a great rate. Large room, comfortable bed, a ton of pillows, HD TV and the breakfast had everything one could want. After reading reviews about other hotels in the area with bed bugs and other issues, this place was a find.

“Good For What It's Worth”

The stay at the hotel was satisfactory. Everything was in working order and the continental breakfast was delicious. The only issue was a strange odor in the entrance of the hotel and in the elevator. Also, there was a piece of trash located in the room by the bed and the housekeeping seemed to miss it throughout the stay. Other than that, it’s a good hotel to stay in.

“comfortable, clean, quiet and reasonable to boot”

reasonable rate and clean with location near interstate so expect lots of families, but if you don't mind that, the hotel is a good choice. Comfortable beds, microwave and fridge in room, all a plus. Internet service was also a plus. Workout faciity small but had weights treadmill bike etc pool was clean . Hotel is far enough from traffic that noise is not an issue. Small pet friendly and non smoking. Would stay there again

the downtown area was fun. We loved the history lessons from the tour guides and seeing the sites. good food and a variety of things to do add in either shopping at the outlets or a day at the beach and its a one size fits all town.

Getting around

park in the garage and take one of the trolley tours ... go the entire tour before deciding where to get off ...then hop on and off after picking your sites. The tickets are good for three days so you can see all the places by using the trolleys as your transportation.

“Beautiful Hotel, Very helpful,friendly staff!”

I was very impressed by the La Quinta. The hotel was immaculate!! The location was fantastic (within minutes of the outlet malls). ALL the staff were very helpful and friendly, Especially Keith at the front desk, who answered all my endless questions. I also loved the fact that the pool was heated!! I will definately stay again.

“July 4th Weekend”

Loved the Waffle Maker- Clean Hotel- Pool was nice- Gym was small, but sufficient- equipment was working- had water fountain with filter that did not expire yet ! Had washer & dryer if you wanted to utilize & had computer station. Staff very friendly !
