“Mary - Tampa”

The staff at the front dest were polite and quick - the room was lovely - wi fi worked just fine, hot buffet breakfast was great - I will go back as I like to go to St. Augustine for this christmas event.

“Nanette”

Clean modern rooms. Breakfast service was great value for a buffet. Staff was courteous and helped us out with directions and attractions. Every staff member either smiled or acknowledged you without seeming intrusive.

Area recommendations

The historic district is fantastic. You must take the trolley tours. Very knowledgeable in St. Augustine's history.

“Great Location”

Hotel is in a great location, very close to Old St Augustine and walking distance to a very nice liquor store. One of the elevators was not working because of a pipe breaking and spilling water eveywhere the day before we arrived. The hallways smelled like wet dog but overall I think if this didn't happen the hotel would've been very good.

“Great Hotel- will be back!”

This hotel was clean, friendly and in the perfect location for historical St. Augustine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We plan to go back next year. The staff was accommodating to our requests.

“wonderful hotel in the heart of the St. Augustine historical area.”

“OK Not much better in area though”

It was clean but had a little bit strange soapy smell and the toilet didnt quite work right. Good central location. Would not return but is ok especially for business and short stays.

“Good location for money”

We went for 4 days with our three young children. Hotel was close to everything.

Getting around

Use the Trolley to get around. For about $20 you can get on and off the trolley at about 22 sdiferent stops. The price you pay is good for three days. HOWEVER..plan your day before 6pm because the trolleys stop running. I recommend leaving your car in one of the free parking garages that is included with purchase of the trolley ticket. That way if you are sight seeing past 5 pm you can pretty much walk to your car and take it back to the hotel.

What to pack

St.Augutsine is HOT!! Pack lots of tank tops and shorts if you are going in the warmer months. Also pack alot of your own water so you don't have to keep buying water bottles. We carried a back pack with use with a mini insulated cooler in it and stuffed with with water bottles and gatorade. Trust me, you will drink it all!

Must see

Lighthouse (climb it all the way up for great views of the city), Lightner Museum, Old Jail, San Marcus Castillo, Fountain of Youth, Old Store, and walk through St.George Street

Dining

You must eat at Cruisers Grill on St.George Street, excellent food. Also, there is a good hamburger place inside the Old Drugstore. Our trolley driver told us about it and it was actually great burgers for a great price!

“Clean & Convenient”

I found this hotel to be clean,modern and close to tour transportation and local scenic sites.The hotel staff was polite and professional. I had only one complaint which the manager immediately wrote a work order to fix a problem i had with the bathtub draining slowly.

“Excellent Hotel”

It's located close to EVERYTHING! Extremely clean, comfortable, great breakfast, etc... Honestly was very impressed and I am a very picky person. Will stay there on my next visit.
