“Relaxing locale”

We wanted a relaxing get away, and we found it. Beachfront B & B's location was most refreshing for us. It was quiet (down a residential side street), yet right on the beach. It made you feel like home, away from home. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. The Beachfront's grounds were well kept and the pool and jaccuzi were very nice. Breakfasts were light and simple-nothing gourmet by any means-but very adequate. The staff was friendly and helpful for local attractions and restaurants. Restaurants were close and very good, local food. St. Augustine is the main tourist attraction and it is a short drive away. There is a complimentary bus pick-up out front if you purchase a tourist package. We stayed on the 1st floor, which was nice to come and go-no steps-but main floor activity could be heard, through the ceiling. It didn't detract from relaxing. For us, the biggest complaint would be the toilet paper selection. It was very thin commercial grade stuff. When we come back, we'll bring our own.

Area recommendations

St. Augustine area is nice and historic.

Getting around

We rented a car for transportation from Jacksonville airport. It's just a nice short drive south. We enjoy the freedom of spontaneity to come and go whenever and to explore areas on our own. We walked to some very nice locally owned restaurants.

Dining

Local restaurants were very charming. Each had there own personalities but all we ate at had excellent food. All seem to overcook their vegetables-mushy-as we prefer crisper cooked preparation.

Outdoors or beach

Weather was awesome-upper 70's-80's-and the beach was quiet. We got the idea that most people were locals.

“Great B+B Awesome Beach Location”

Booked online, had a great time nice staff and inkeeper, great breakfast. Room was well equipped and comfortable. Great pool, spa and beach location. B+B's are always worth it.

“Idyllic Location”

The best thing is the Idyllic location right on the beach and also the free use of chairs to take to the beachand a few minutes walk back to the pool which is very sheltered and private. This was a very relaxing break; We felt a million miles away.
